This position requires basic computer skills, strong serviceorientation, and the ability to work as an effective memberof a team. Issues instruments to dental students in theassigned clinic module, electronically checking cassettes outand back in through the electronic health record inventory
module. Checks cassettes for missing instruments andengages promptly with the student dentist to minimize loss.Maintains optimal level of supplies of other necessary itemsto ensure ready availability with minimal waste. Dispensessupplies as needed. Will perform duties in the Central
Sterilization Room, following infection control practices.Maintains instrumentation and operates sterilizationequipment. Must acquire familiarity with all materials indispensary and apply sound inventory control practices,minimizing overstocking and waste. Must have computerskills and be highly service oriented. Must have a strongservice orientation, ability to work as an effective member ofa team, and willingness to assist with miscellaneous tasksas requested. Expected to meet assigned due dates andmake productive use of time.Physical EffortIncumbent will be required to move around within buildingand in dispensary to access necessary supplies andinstruments. Limited lifting may be required.
