Description We are looking for an experienced Dispatcher to join our team in Pasadena, Texas. This Contract-to-Permanent position is ideal for someone with a strong background in logistics, customer service, and less-than-truckload shipping operations. Responsibilities: • Coordinate and manage shipment schedules to ensure timely deliveries and efficient transportation routes. • Communicate with shipping carriers and drivers to provide clear instructions and resolve any logistical issues. • Monitor shipment progress and address delays or damages to maintain smooth operations. • Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and industry standards throughout the shipping process. • Maintain accurate records and perform data entry tasks to track shipment details and costs. • Negotiate contracts and rates with carriers to optimize budgets and control logistics expenses. • Provide exceptional customer service by keeping clients informed about shipment statuses and resolving any concerns. • Predict future logistics needs and prepare accordingly to meet seasonal or high-demand periods. • Ensure all goods are properly packaged and meet customs requirements for shipping. • Collaborate with internal teams to align logistics processes with broader organizational goals. Requirements • Proven experience in logistics, dispatching, or transportation management. • Familiarity with DOT regulations and industry compliance standards. • Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle inquiries and resolve issues effectively. • Proficiency in data entry and maintaining accurate records. • Knowledge of less-than-truckload (LTL) shipping operations. • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. • Ability to negotiate contracts and manage budgets efficiently. • High attention to detail and organizational skills to oversee multiple shipments simultaneously.
