The role youll contribute:

Under general supervision, the Dispatcher Courier Logistics coordinates routine and STAT lab and non- lab pickups for AdventHealth, AHL Outreach Clients, FRI and others. The Dispatcher receives and documents calls using the Dispatch software electronic logistics system. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. Available for various and flexible shifts, especially nights weekends and holidays.

Coordinates routine and STAT lab and non-lab pickups and drop offs utilizing vehicle tracking and request dispatching software.

Understanding and maximizing the efficiency of your team of drivers.

Conduct effective resource planning to maximize the productivity of resources.

Coordinate vehicle maintenance and breakdowns

Assign vehicles, keys and handheld devices as needed.

Understanding and maximizing the efficiency of your team of drivers. Monitors drivers for punctuality and responsiveness.

Assign vehicles, keys and handheld devices as needed.

Utilize dispatch software to enter in requests, dispatch to drivers and track drivers through their shift. Add new drivers in the system as well as remove drivers no longer with the department. Find trends and inefficiencies to better help the department.

Provide excellent customer service, dealing with demanding and difficult customers at times.

Manage multiple drivers during the shift, making sure they are efficiently and effectively completing their tasks and taking their break as well as getting out on time.

Educates customer on various shipping services.

Performs various clerical duties as assigned.

Provides resolution to customer service issues within guidelines, referring issues appropriately to administrative staff for follow-up.

Adheres strictly to AdventHealth Compliance Plan and the rules and regulations of applicable regulatory authorities; protects confidentiality of patient information and results at all times.

Performs other duties as assigned or directed to ensure the smooth operation of the department or unit.

Stay up to date on all AdventHealth eLearning

Meet and inform Leadership of any customer or driver concerns.

Able to driver when needed and perform all Job Duties and responsibilities of a Driver 1

Ability to drive all vehicles from sedan to small box trucks

Ability to use scanning device to help log and track all deliveries.

Ability to identify, sort items and organize the cargo to deliver it to the right place at the right time.

Safely transports biological specimens, medical supplies, and related paperwork according to defined schedule or urgent request and in accordance with department expectations. Safely transports equipment, supplies, reports, and similar items according to department expectations.

Maintains the department philosophy of excellent customer service and a polite attitude under all circumstances.

Ensures package tracking is executed accurately and successfully for all items

Able to learn and perform warehouse pulling and picking of orders in emergency situations through the warehouse/distribution software.

Assist with the training and orientation of new employees for department and to demonstrate where and how the requests are coming from.

General office duties including but not limited to document scanning and uploading, document sorting, restock driver supplies as needed.

Qualifications

The expertise and experience youll need to succeed :

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

High School Diploma or equivalent

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:

Valid Class E Florida Drivers license and driving record in accordance with AdventHealth policy

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, OR REGISTRATION PREFERRED:

Pallet Jack Certification

Forklift Certification
