Dispatch Manager Transdev in Dallas, Texas is hiring a Dispatch Manager. Our Dispatch Manager ensures the Dispatch team fills all the routes and provides Operators with timely instructions and responses. We are seeking customer service-oriented professionals who are dedicated to safety. Transdev is proud to offer:  • Competitive compensation package of minimum $69,000 – maximum $72,000 annually Benefits include:Vacation: minimum of three (3) weeks  Sick days: 5 days  Holidays: 8 standard days    Other standard benefits: 401(k) retirement plan, medical, dental and vision, life insurance, short-term disability, voluntary long-term disability.   Benefits may vary depending on location policy. Key Responsibilities  Manages the activities of all members of the dispatch teamHires and trains new employees, as well as managing and leading them to be effective in their rolesOversee road service and trip performance measures, (i.e. route start time, on-time performance, incidents)Responsible for making sure all goals are achieved daily, utilizing all appropriate systemsManages team schedules and ensuring no conflicts or gaps to satisfy the client’s needsRespond to customer and driver questions and concerns about no shows, cancellations, and missed tripsManage vehicle operator emergency situations & escalated callsSupervise staff across all shiftsManage department reports and other communication toolsSupport employees and drivers with internal and external requestsPrioritize calls based on importance and urgencyCreate, develop and communicate standard operating proceduresMaintains contact with drivers to communicate updates, delays, or special instructionsAccurately track and respond to complaints to reduce and eliminate unnecessary and/or additional wait timesOther duties as required  Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent.  Minimum 2-3 years of transit supervisory experience preferred. Computer literate with intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office  Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to work independently and drive resultsExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse audiencesHigh level of problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to address service concerns proactivelyOther duties as requiredPhysical RequirementsThe essential functions of this position require the ability to: Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces Push and pull objects up to 50 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noiseConduct oral and written presentations on behalf of the organization Perform other related duties as assigned Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
