Dispatch/Alarm Monitor
Summary The Dispatcher/Alarm Monitor monitors the CCTV and intrusion, fire, and duress alarms and early warning systems. *This position is continget upon contract award* Responsibilities Answer public and police calls for assistance in emergency and non-emergency situations on the telephone and radio. Oversee control and issuance of keys from communications center. Provides security for assigned work area and equipment. Relay information to/from police or security supervisors, takes messages, and obtains clear and accurate information & relays to all pertinent personnel. Other duties as assigned Qualifications Minimum High School Diploma or GED.  Must be at least 21 years of age. Certified to perform the duties and meet the minimum standards established by the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO) Institute Emergency Telecommunication. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Skill in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment. Ability to interact and communicate with people over the telephone, often in stressful situations. Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), and Outlook.  Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license. Must speak, read, write, and understand the English language, apply written rules, detailed orders, instructions, and training material. Estimated Salary/Wage USD $20.00/Hr.
