**Summary**
The Dispatcher/Alarm Monitor monitors the CCTV and intrusion, fire, and duress alarms and early warning systems.
**_*This position is continget upon contract award*_**
**Responsibilities**
+ Answer public and police calls for assistance in emergency and non-emergency situations on the telephone and radio.
+ Oversee control and issuance of keys from communications center.
+ Provides security for assigned work area and equipment.
+ Relay information to/from police or security supervisors, takes messages, and obtains clear and accurate information & relays to all pertinent personnel.
+ Other duties as assigned
**Qualifications**
+ Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
+ Must be at least 21 years of age.
+ Certified to perform the duties and meet the minimum standards established by the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO) Institute Emergency Telecommunication.
_Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:_
+ Skill in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment.
+ Ability to interact and communicate with people over the telephone, often in stressful situations.
+ Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), and Outlook.
+ Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license.
+ Must speak, read, write, and understand the English language, apply written rules, detailed orders, instructions, and training material.
**Estimated Salary/Wage**
USD $20.00/Hr.
