The Discovery Logistics and Trade Specialist Team is a dynamic group with high client visibility within IQVIA. It functions as part of the Global Clinical Supply organization supporting research laboratories. This team specializes in assisting researchers with their international and domestic shipping needs. They guide researchers on global and local logistics requirements and trade regulations for the shipments, ensuring documentation is complete and that all regulatory aspects are addressed. The team maintains a high level of compliance adherence to ensure that samples move efficiently. This is a fully remote position open to candidates across the UK, may be requested to go on-site in London for introductions and training.
Purpose:
To assist department Director in providing logistics and trade support to project and operational teams within client research and development organization; accountable for interfacing with R&D teams, vendors/collaborators, Global Trade Compliance, Logistics Operations, and other departments to coordinate, manage and track clinical supplies shipments to and from internal and external partners.
Responsibilities:
Coordinating and tracking research shipments from client program teams to internal and external partner sitesLiaising with teams to gather and process supporting documentation for shipping materials domestically and internationally.Manages greenlight process and Broker Clearance Instructions for imports.Creates invoices and shipping documents and engages carrier for shipping of packages.Maintain shipment logs for imports, exports, and domestic shipments.Responsible for trade aspects by liaising with Global Trade Compliance and Logistics Operations.Providing Logistical and trade guidance and expertise to the scientific community.Perform all import and export transaction in compliance with MSD’s Global Trade Compliance policy and standards and other global, country rules & regulations as applies to all processes, sites, and resources.Provide local and broker KPI's and metrics.Local carrier and broker management, including leading meetings with concerned brokers.Update and maintain local company documents supporting logistic and compliance policies and SOPs.Communicate effectively with local regulatory agencies to ensure shipping documents are compliant with regulatory and statutory requirements.Ensure audit readiness and participate in audits and CAPAs.Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
BSC in biological science or science related concentration or at least 3 years of relevant experienceLogistics and/or Trade Compliance experience preferred.Experience with Global Trade Compliance or regulatory audits preferred.Excellent customer service skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills including English.Excellent attention to detailsComputer systems experience (e.g., MS Outlook, carrier systems, ERP, SAP)Able to work independently with minimal supervision.Familiar with local regulatory (MOH, AVA & NEA, etc.) shipping requirements is preferred*Please note - this role is not eligible for UK visa sponsorship*
