DIRT FOREMAN                                                                                  Kissimmee FL or surrounding area

Jr. Davis Construction Company is seeking a highly motivated individual with a strong work ethic to fill the position of a Dirt Foreman. 

We are one of the largest heavy highway and civil construction firms in the state with over 900 employees, while still retaining a family business atmosphere.

COMPENSATION: Based on experience. Our OJT (On the Job Training) will allow you to move up in our company as your skill set expands.

 

Responsibilities:

Oversee all aspects of Dirt operationsEfficient at multi-tasking and working under short time constraintsAssure that all safety and quality measures are takenCoordinate with others including subcontractors, trucking and plant managersHand’s on – efficiently operate heavy equipment that applies to grading Supervise and train crew membersOther duties as assigned.
 

Requirements:

Recent years’ experience working as a “WORKING DIRT FOREMAN”Valid Driver license required.Must have a safety first attitude. Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures is requiredDisplay a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times.Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required.Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.
 

Knowledge & Skills:

High School diploma or equivalent required
 

Qualifications:

Must have own basic set of hand tools.Valid driver's license for the state in which you reside with acceptable driving record per company minimum standards for drivers.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to bend, sit, stoop, and stand for long periods of time in the outdoor weather. Ability to work in adverse weather conditions. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently.
