Manage the Treasury and Tax Reporting functions for Montefiore Medicine and all related entities, an integrated health system with more than $1.2 billion of cash and investments and $6.0 billion in total annual operating revenue. Formalize policies and procedures for Treasury operations, including policy implementation and adherence, cash management, and all cash and investment reporting. Manage all daily, monthly and annual activities. Supervision of Staff involved in cash and treasury processes and investment accounting
Essential Functions1. Establish and oversee a comprehensive daily treasury function including development and implementation of applicable policies, processes and internal controls. * Accurate and appropriate daily, monthly and annual cash and portfolio reporting. 2. Management of all investment accounting, including brokerage analysis and maintenance of restricted/unrestricted investment balances. * Serve as technical resource to staff completing monthly brokerage and income accounting and analyses. 3. Monthly, quarterly and annual reporting of all investment activity, including leveling and activity of pension and deferred compensation plans. Serve as primary contact on cash and investment reporting in the annual external audit. * Timely and accurate investment and income reporting. 4. Staff liaison to the investment committee, including implementation of committee investment/liquidation decisions, processing of capital calls, and maintenance of ongoing documentation of transaction approvals and implementation. * Timely and accurate processing of all investment committee transaction decisions and clear, auditable documentation of all transactions and approvals. 5. Daily banking activity and cash reporting. * Timely and accurate daily cash reporting. Efficient and prompt establishment of account when necessary, including collection of appropriate signatures and maintenance of signatory records. Management of all bank reconciliations. 6. Perform cash forecasts for Montefiore Medical Center to allow for proper planning of cash impacts to the Medical Center. * Implement cash forecasting tool, and a lookback process to evaluate results of forecasting. 7. Review Banking relationship across Montefiore Medicine and establish system-wide banking partnerships. * Evaluate current banking relationships, bank accounts and close account as needed. Also bid out the Health System's baking services. 8. Active involvement and participation in the implementation of any ERP systems. * Successful build and use of the new ERP. 9. Perform treasury function for the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. * Timely and accurate cash reporting for the College. 10. Manage FHA requisition process, including preparation of monthly loan requisition to FHA. * Supervises entire invoice and purchase order flow to insure the proper result in a timely manner. 11. Review monthly debt drawn-down reports, analyze budget status. Ensure that we are maximizing our debt structure supporting our capital spend. * Timely and accurate reporting. 12. Ensure the Organization is in compliance with debt reporting. Communicate with investors and lenders as needed. * Ensure Montefiore is in compliance with debt agreements. 13. Responsible for debt issuances, including public offerings. Also responsible for communication with rating agencies. * Perform procedures needed toe ensure efficient access to capital.
QualificationsBA Required MBA Required 4-6 years Previous experience in tax return preparation Required Experience in the completion of Form 990 and Schedule H. Required Knowledge of Best Practices for Treasury operations Knowledge of GAAP, standard internal control requirements. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word. A CPA and/or MBA Preferred
