In this role you will be the strategic leader driving the successful delivery of complex programs and initiatives within ADP's technical development organization. You will oversee a team of technical project managers guiding them to ensure that projects are on track on time and aligned with business priorities. Acting as both a coach and a strategic partner you will empower your team to remove roadblocks foster collaboration and ensure developers stay focused on coding and delivering innovative solutions.
As a director you will operate at both tactical and strategic levels, mentoring project managers, shaping delivery processes and collaborating with senior stakeholders across engineering, product UX and client-facing teams. You will establish program governance, anticipate and mitigate risks and ensure program outcomes are measurable and aligned with client experience goals. While every day brings new challenges in a fast-paced environment, your people leadership skills and ability to influence across a matrix organization will be critical to success.
To thrive in this role, you must have deep experience managing large-scale technical programs in an agile environment. You should be comfortable overseeing projects from inception to production at an enterprise level, balancing competing priorities while coaching your teams to deliver with excellence. A technical background of familiarity with software development will help you efficiently partner with engineering teams.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Here's what you can expect on a typical day:
Agile. Drive the adoption and maturity of agile practices, across the technical project management organization. Improve impediments that block team progress, fostering an environment of transparency, adaptability and continuous improvement. Lead. Lead mentor and develop a team of project managers, fostering career growth and high performance. Establish and oversee program governance ensuring projects meet strategic objectives, deadlines and quality standards. Set clear expectations, provide guidance and model the behaviors that define a high performing program management culture. Communication: Serve as a trusted partner and point of escalation for executives and stakeholders, providing clear updates on project health, risks, and outcomes. Translate complex technical details into concise actionable updates for senior leaders and non-technical audience. Champion open communication across all levels of the organization. Collaboration. Build strong, trust-based relationships with cross functional partners, including engineering product management, UX, operations, and client facing teams. Organization: Manage multiple large-scale programs simultaneously, balancing competing priorities and resources. Develop and maintain Rd. maps, timelines and program dashboards to track progress and identify dependencies. Ensure that all project management processes, tools and documentation are effective and scalable Presentations. Deliver program updates, executive briefings woman's outcome reports to senior leadership with clarity and impact. Represent the project management organization in strategic discussions, demonstrating thought leadership and business acumen. Use data-driven storytelling to communicate progress and success.TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL HAVE:
12 plus years of technical project/program management experience, including five plus years in a leadership role. Proven success managing large, complex initiatives in a fast-paced, matrix organization. Strong understanding of agile delivery methodologies Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, including executive level interactions. Technical knowledge of web application development and enterprise technology ( hands on coding not required). Ability to lead and inspire teams, aligning them to deliver business outcomes under tight deadlines. Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, business or related fields. Base salary offers for this position may vary based on factors such as location, skills, and relevant experience. Some positions may include additional compensation in the form of bonus, equity or commissions. The compensation for this role is $105,600.00 - $282,600.00 / Year*
