Aspirus Health in WAUSAU, WI is seeking a DIRECTOR- SYSTEM CLINICAL QUALITY & RISK MANAGEMENT to join our CARE INTEGRATION team!The Director – System Clinical Quality and Risk Management is recognized as a subject matter expert in the fields of quality and risk management. The Director – System Clinical Quality and Risk Management in collaboration with the Vice President is responsible for coordination of the system-wide quality, risk management, and patient safety functions including the execution of the performance improvement, risk management, and patient safety plan and directs actions to ensure achievement of organization goals, initiation of change management processes, and implementation of best practices, policies, and procedures. The position works collaboratively with all Aspirus entities (hospitals, clinics, post-acute care) and has accountability for the overall supervision of system quality and clinical risk management staff. The Director – System Clinical Quality and Risk Management is responsible for recruitment and retention, performance reviews, professional development, and delivery of quality, patient safety, and risk management services.
Experience/Qualifications
Knowledge of patient care standards and management practices in a healthcare environment normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. Master’s Degree required.Extensive knowledge of clinical quality, performance improvement, regulatory and accreditation requirements, and risk management is required.A minimum of five years of experience in quality or risk managementA minimum of three years of leadership experience in quality, risk management or closely related area.Possesses an active Wisconsin or Michigan RN nursing license Nationally recognized certification preferred, i.e., Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM)Knowledge of WCHQ, HEDIS, MIPS, Core Measures, Rural Health Clinics.Possesses working knowledge of clinical systems, outcome measures, and processes required along with various patient information systems including Pathways, HEDIS, etc.Knowledge and understanding of hospital information systems and their potential uses and benefits.Possesses facility for data analysis and interpretation. Must be data driven with a passion for medical management. Possesses ability to organize and present data in a concise and easily understood manner to peers, physicians, and other stakeholders.
