**About the Role**
The **Director Supplier Performance & Capacity Management** is responsible for developing and executing strategies to enhance the resilience, sustainability, and agility of the company’s material supply chain. This role focuses on risk management, supplier diversification, demand-supply balancing, and the implementation of digital tools to improve supply chain visibility and responsiveness. The director will work cross-functionally with sourcing, operations, logistics, and finance teams to ensure continuity of supply while mitigating disruptions caused by geopolitical, environmental, or economic factors.
**Key Responsibilities**
**Resiliency Strategy & Risk Management:**
• Develop and implement a comprehensive materials resiliency strategy to proactively address supply chain risks.
• Identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities, including supplier dependencies, geopolitical risks, and raw material shortages.
• Implement scenario planning and risk assessment frameworks to enhance decision-making.
**Supplier Diversification & Strategic Sourcing:**
• Lead efforts to diversify supplier base to reduce reliance on single-source or high-risk suppliers.
• Develop relationships with alternative and nearshore suppliers to improve supply flexibility.
• Partner with category management teams to optimize sourcing strategies.
**Supply Chain Visibility & Digital Transformation:**
• Utilize advanced analytics, AI, and digital tools to improve end-to-end supply chain visibility.
• Implement real-time monitoring solutions for critical materials and suppliers.
• Leverage predictive analytics to anticipate and address potential disruptions.
**Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:**
• Work closely with internal stakeholders (engineering, operations, logistics, and finance) to align resiliency strategies with business objectives.
• Lead cross-functional teams to implement supply chain continuity plans.
**Performance Metrics & Continuous Improvement:**
• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure supply chain resiliency and supplier performance.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain efficiency and responsiveness.
• Implement sustainability initiatives to reduce the environmental impact of materials sourcing.
**Required Qualifications**
+ Bachelor’s degree
+ 10+ years of experience in supply chain management, procurement, or materials management, with a focus on risk management and resiliency
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Proven ability to develop and execute global supply chain risk mitigation strategies.
+ Strong understanding of geopolitical, economic, and environmental factors affecting global supply chains.
+ Experience with digital supply chain tools, AI-driven analytics, and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
+ Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
+ Experience in manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, or technology industries is a plus.
+ Expertise in supplier negotiations, contract management, and strategic sourcing.
+ Knowledge of sustainability and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) principles in supply chain.
+ Lean, Six Sigma, or APICS certification
