Director Strategic Planning and Development
Position Overview:

We are in search of a dynamic Director to lead in identifying, crafting, and implementing innovative growth strategies that elevate our business.  In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to support and work with some of the most respected brands in the professional tool industry, including RIDGID, Greenlee and Klauke. Reporting directly to the Group President, this highly visible position will play a pivotal role in driving business transformation and creating lasting competitive advantage.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

You’ll operate at the intersection of strategy, innovation, and execution, collaborating closely with business leaders and global teams to identify new opportunities and drive the company toward long-term growth. Your responsibilities will include:

Drive Strategic Growth
Identify and evaluate new business opportunities in the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) sectors, including strategic partnerships, potential acquisitions, and diversification strategies Deliver Market & Competitive Intelligence
Build a comprehensive understanding of market dynamics, customer needs, industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscapes to advise and sharpen strategic direction. Lead Strategic Planning Framework 
Develop and refine scalable planning models that align with both internal capabilities and external opportunities, supporting the company’s strategy and global growth goals. Coordinate Global Strategy Execution
Lead the coordination of critical initiatives across business units and regions, ensuring alignment, prioritization, and execution against critical objectives. Foster Enterprise Collaboration
Act as a strategic connector, bridging enterprise-level initiatives with local execution, ensuring a unified and agile approach to market opportunities. Champion Business Model Innovation
Evaluate existing business models and lead the development of innovative approaches that unlock new value and accelerate growth. Who You Are: You see the big picture, constantly are imagining future scenarios, and create strategies to sustain competitive advantage.   You balance own interests with others’ interests. You consider multiple and varied viewpoints when addressing problems and opportunities. For This Role, You Will Need: Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or equivalent experience  Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in business strategy or corporate innovation within a fast-paced, matrixed environment.  Shown success in:  Crafting and launching business initiatives that drive measurable impact Applying creative problem-solving and analytical thinking in high-stakes or ambiguous situations Proven track record to manage multiple sophisticated projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and strategic alignment Comfortable working across teams and building positive relationships at all levels of the organization A blend of strategic vision and hands-on execution ability Strong analytical skills and business insight, with a keen awareness of technology and industry trends Developing and driving innovative ideas to enhance business performance or improve employee experience.
