Director Sales

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

To lead the overall sales performance and the provision of service to customers for the market To recommend and implement the short, medium and long term commercial strategy and plans to best develop the brand and business (wholesale & franchise) of the adidas Group within the Market

 

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain best-in-industry relationships with customers Participate and proactively provide input into the formulation and management of the Market business and organization strategies Elaborate mid-term and long-term commercial strategies of the Market. This includes the development of channel strategies and segmentation, as well as the development of new distribution Elaborate and provide accurate sales forecast to the business within the frame of the business forecasting processes Ensure provision and reporting of sales data to support Market and business intelligence process Represent the Market among retailers. Ensure, from the team, compliance of the trading relationships with company policies Participate and contribute to the definition of the global wholesale strategy and developments of best practice Ensure the best representation of the brands and assortment plans in stores, with the support of the marketing teams Elaborate, recommend and implement effective, as well as efficient, trade terms in coordination with the respective global wholesale policies Ensure effective cost controls of the respective cost centers Define organizational structure, set objectives, and manage workloads and results to achieve goals while adopting best practices and achieving continuous process improvement Manage, recruit and develop sales and customer organization to achieve all relevant targets and to provide best in class service Lead team and foster performance culture within the team Continuously improving and developing key sales and customer service processes to provide excellence in service and efficiency in the organization Ensure high employee engagement at every level through effective motivation, coaching, training, and development of personnel in the team

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Proven leadership and managerial skills High degree of commercial and business acumen knowledge Negotiation, composure and representation abilities Strong Strategic as well as operational skills High personal impact and high communication skills

 

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

Business degree Minimum 12-15 years of commercial experience within large sales organization Strong experience of people and operational management Preferable experience in the sport or clothing wholesale industry Good English communication skills is preferred
