We under­stand the business needs, are close to our stake­holders, drive cost savings, inno­va­tion and sustainable practices by nego­tia­ting with suppliers and managing vendor relationships. As a Director Procurement Technical Services, Waste Management and Packaging you will oversee and manage the procurement activities related to technical services, waste management, and administratively for packaging. This role involves developing procurement strategies, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition services at the lowest total cost to BASF. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement or business, excellent negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of the industry as well as leading teams to success. **As a Director Procurement Technical Services, Waste Management and Packaging, you create chemistry by...** + Supporting the development and implementation of procurement strategies for procured 3rd party technical services and waste management, while ensuring compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and sustainability standards. + Managing supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure favorable terms and conditions and the best rates for BASF, as well as monitoring market trends and identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements. + Collaborating with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure alignment with procurement strategies. + Leading and mentoring a team of procurement professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement with a strong desire to win. + Analyzing procurement data and generating reports to inform decision-making and strategy development. + Managing the procurement budget and ensure cost-effective purchasing practices. **If you...** + Hold a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or a related field.
