Reporting to the VP of Procurement europe, this director role will have responsibility of the entire non product related spend of Ecolab in Europe managing a large team category managers and representatives. Among the areas of spend are Travel, Corporate Fleet, IT and Telcos, Professional Services, Utilities, Facilities and Real Estate, Waste Management, Capex, Logistics and Warehousing. A proven track record of strong leadership, business acumen, and strategic thinking in conjunction with outstanding ability to drive results are essential. The role has high exposure across Supply Chain and the Commercial Teams across Europe. Driving governance and establish the right buying channels is essential to the role as well as collaborating with the Procurement Operation teams to drive process simplifications and compliance. The role will be based in our Procurement Center of Excellence in Barcelona.
Responsibilities:
Leads by example the Ecolab and Global Supply Chain Safety initiatives.A role model for compliant and ethical behavior with 100% compliance to the Ecolab Code of ConductResponsible for total delivered cost (TDC), security of supply, accelerated supplier innovation and procurement process improvements across the organization in their respective categoryDevelops and drives the overall strategy of respective categories in alignment with Ecolab, functional, and business unit objectivesLead and develop strategic supplier relationships at the executive levelAttract, hire, and retain top talent to ensure appropriate succession planning. Demonstrate strong leadership in the Procurement Center of Excellence by supporting the broader team in identifying and executing engagement bolstering initiativesCoach, mentor, and develop direct/indirect reports within assigned European procurement team to improve skills, execution, and results. Develops and deploys organizational structure to support functional strategies. Drives to achieve 100% engagement with the right talent, right people, in the right place. Develop global and regional sourcing strategies and drive execution within the Indirects and Services Team using TDC Sourcing Principles.Establish and update processes and metrics to deliver optimum Total Delivered Cost (TDC) in order to maximize net structural savingsMaintain awareness of global macro-economic factors that directly impact Ecolab’s procurement costs including global raw material costs, labor cost, transportation cost and foreign exchange. Develop alternate sourcing strategies as these factors begin to negatively impact Ecolab’s purchasing operationsContribute to Ecolab acquisitions through participation in due diligence teams, plant consolidation reviews, supplier and material simplification reviews.Minimum Qualifications:
