Role Summary:

In this role, you will lead a team of Strategic Solution Executives who are embedded with frontline sales leaders to support strategic opportunity execution, solution alignment, and customer engagement. You will work closely with Sales and Presales leadership to ensure that presales resources are deployed effectively, deal strategies are clearly defined, and execution is focused on the right KPIs.

Success in this role means scaling a high-impact presales model that accelerates deal velocity, improves win rates, and positions UKG’s solutions as strategic enablers for our customers. This includes fostering strong cross-functional collaboration, enabling field teams with insights and tools, and continuously evolving our approach to meet the demands of a dynamic market.


Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership
• Define and evolve the Strategic Solution model to align with UKG’s go-to-market and presales strategy.
• Partner with Sales and Presales leadership to prioritize strategic accounts and opportunities, devising the right resourcing strategy to optimize customer success
• Drive alignment and execution between presales execution and field sales objectives.

2. Team Leadership & Development
• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of Strategic Solution Executives.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and customer obsession.
• Provide ongoing enablement and career development for team members.

3. Operational Excellence
• Establish, define and track KPIs that maximize presales impact (e.g., win rate, deal velocity, solution quality).
• Standardize and evolve presales engagement models, tools, and best practices.
• Ensure consistent execution across regions and verticals.

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Act as a strategic connector between Sales, Product, Marketing, and Services.
• Bring field insights back to corporate teams to inform product strategy and messaging.
• Partner with Enablement to ensure presales teams are trained on new offerings.

5. Executive Engagement
• Support strategic customer engagements and executive-level conversations.
• Serve as an escalation point for complex or high-value opportunities.

6. Innovation & Continuous Improvement
• Identify and implement best practices from across the industry.
• Pilot new approaches to solutioning, storytelling, and customer engagement.
• Leverage data and feedback to continuously refine the presales model.

Qualifications:
• 10+ years in presales, solution consulting, or sales strategy roles in enterprise software.
• 2+ years proven experience leading high-performing teams in a matrixed environment.
• Deep understanding of enterprise sales cycles, value-based selling, and customer engagement.
• Knowledge of HCM Payroll and WF Management (UKG’s product portfolio a plus), industry trends, and advanced understanding of competitive nuances of our major sales plays.
• Strong executive presence and communication skills.
• Passion for coaching, mentoring, and developing talent.

The pay range for this position is $159900 to $229800, however, base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location. This position is also eligible for a short-term incentive and a long-term incentive as part of total compensation.
