**Location**
This is an onsite position assigned to the One Energy Plaza located in Jackson, MI. Other Consumers Energy locations may be considered as well. The selected candidate must be within a commutable distance or willing to relocate (relocation package is available for those that qualify).
**General Summary of Job Responsibilities**
The Director of Asset Management is responsible for developing and executing strategies to optimize the profitability and efficiency of the organization’s physical assets, including plants, facilities, and equipment. This role involves continuous monitoring and analysis of complex asset operations and costs, implementing best practices for asset management and maintenance, and supporting various projects related to the organization’s diversified multi-asset portfolio. The Director will collaborate closely with portfolio managers and investment strategists to track and maintain multi-asset investments and deliver innovative investment solutions through a systematic approach to asset allocation and selection.
This role will oversee the development and execution of strategies supporting statewide Facilities assets and integrating the rate case needs.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
+ Provide regular, timely feedback and conduct formal performance reviews to ensure high-quality service delivery, team engagement, motivation, and professional development.
+ Oversee the creation of informational content and identify trends to enhance competitive positioning.
+ Lead the strategy, development, and management of asset class products.
+ Collaborate with the investor relations team on current offerings and upcoming asset-class product launches, providing expert analysis and insights.
+ Perform other duties as assigned or as necessary.
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
+ Strong analytical skills in evaluating financial and investment data.
+ Proficiency in preparing and presenting financial and accounting records.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Sound judgment and decision-making abilities in high-stakes situations.
**Education and Experience**
+ Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business or economics with ten (10) or more years of experience with asset management strategies.
+ **OR** Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, business or economics with twelve (12) or more years of experience with asset management strategies.
+ **OR** High school diploma with fourteen (14) or more years of experience with asset management strategies.
