Summary
SUMMARY:
The Director of LBHMG Service Line will oversee operations of the Surgery service line under LifeBridge Health Medical Group (LBHMG). Responsible for the operations, strategic planning, financial management, quality, and provider and patient experience across assigned service line departments and/or practice locations. This leader has a strong understanding of the day-to-day management of services. They will ensure high-quality services are provided within professional regulatory and accrediting body standards, and that overall clinical performance of the service line meets or exceeds national best practices. This position is matrixed with service line / departmental clinical and administrative, facility and corporate leaders across the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directs and leads the development, revision, maintenance and implementation of service line department/practice program policies and operating procedures; delineates authority and responsibility where appropriate. Supports a culture of safety through collaboration, communication and working environments. Participates in related facility initiatives to ensure system collaboration. Oversees the management of outside vendor contracts and service deliverables. Facilitates appropriate and internal marketing initiatives to ensure sustainability of assigned areas. Champions the patient experience and commits to being relationship-focused. Creates an environment in which staff are expected to participate in goal setting and holding each other accountable. Supports each clinical / administrative leader to ensure optimized provider and staff utilization inclusive of operational workflow review and approval. Ensure all policies and procedures align with LBH standards. Commits to being a good steward of LifeBridge Health's resources. Ensure all compliance standards are being met and supports applicable certifications, registries and quality initiatives. Maintains effective communication and productive working relationships with other executive leaders. Promotes an environment that facilitates the development of professional practice, management, and leadership. Promotes and role models a culture wherein lifelong learning (formal and informal) along with professional and personal growth are expectations. Implements and monitors operational / performance improvement action plans to achieve efficiency targets. Communicates, collaborates and cultivates an atmosphere of inclusion/belonging. Ensure provider recruitment and contracting across all assigned areas aligns and is appropriate with LBHMG goals and targets; ensure standardized onboarding and credentialing functions are in place for assigned areas. Ensures appropriate hiring, as well as providing a welcoming and supporting environment for new team members. Ensures team members' pay is accurate and effective to meet business needs. Manages the performance and development of individuals and teams. Responsible for directing, assigning, and reviewing work. Ensures appropriate performance management of all team members. Directs and leads the preparation and development of annual operating and capital budgets. Monitors monthly operating expense performance of assigned departments/practices with respect to annual budget and other targets established by senior leadership, including but not limited to operating budget, productivity standards, overtime utilization and premium pay standards. Supports and reviews the use of grants, endowments and philanthropic funds. Ensures front-end revenue cycle functions are optimized and in compliance. Supports accounts payable processes across assigned areas. Implements and monitors financial / performance improvement action plans to achieve efficiency targets. Under direction of LBHMG senior leadership, operationalizes all strategic planning activities for assigned areas. Supports and all applicable service line councils, meetings, board activities. Supports the creation of business plans and associated activities to align with the strategic vision and market trends of assigned areas. Utilizes SWOT and/or gap analyses, along with knowledge from internal and external activities, to formulate objectives, goals and specific strategies related to the organization’s mission and vision. Keeps apprised of industry trends, regulations and competitive forces to ensure sustainability. Collaborates and ensures internal and external marketing initiatives support the strategic vision and goals of assigned areas.QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
5-7 years of relevant experience; operational leadership in a healthcare provider/medical group setting preferred. Bachelor's degree required in Business, Finance, or other related field of study; master's degree preferred.Additional Information
