Act as the Operations Lead for assigned facility Group within the Region. Through activities, primarily through direction of staff, is responsible to meet established goals and objectives toward Safety, Quality and Environmental Compliance as well as profitability of the Group. 

Essential duties and responsibilities:

-  Lead the Group in the development of a Culture modeled around Safety, Quality and Environmental Compliance.

-  Through selection, mentoring, development, development of bench strength, evaluation and where necessary, discipline, develop an effective
   Operations team for the assigned Group.

-  Act as key participant in the development of Operations goals and objectives. Monitor progress toward established goals and objectives.

-  Act as principal for the Group leading Safety/Quality/Environmental Compliance,  providing visible and decisive direction toward established 
   goals and objectives and Operations/Engineering, insisting on efficiency, reliability, continuous improvement and accountability at the facilities.

-  Provide dotted line leadership to staff support groups: Accounting, Environmental Health & Safety and Human Resources.

-  Actively coordinate with Commercial staff in the support of sales, customer service and business development.

-  Develop and operate within operational budget for the fiscal year. Approves expenses and leads accountability for the Group. Ensures that
   sustaining capital projects are completed on-time and within budget.

-  Serve as a resource in the operational and financial (budget / forecast) reporting process related to regional activities.

-  Direct and coordinate operations in compliance with company policies and procedures.

-  Execute programs to monitor and maintain or improve quality, continuous process improvement, employee and operational safely and comply
   with environmental, safety and other regulations at facilities within the region.

-  Serve as a resource in operational key performance indicators for customers to enhance performance expectations and customer satisfaction
   for a diversified customer base while managing operational requirements and overseeing the execution of contractual obligations.

-  Ensure the maintenance and life-cycle planning of Regional assets.

-  Other duties as assigned.

Education:

-  High School degree or equivalent is required.

-  A 4 year degree in Business, Engineering or other related field is strongly preferred.

Experience / specific knowledge:

-  A minimum of 5 years of previous successful work experience is an industrial production environment is required.

-  A minimum of 1 year of experience responsible for the management of people is required.

Certifications, licenses, registrations:

-  The incumbent must meet the criteria to obtain and maintain a Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC) as required by USCG/DHS regulations.

-  Possess and maintain a valid driver's license and be insurable by the company insurance carrier.

-  Successful completion and passing of company pre-employment background check, drug screen and other related testing.

Competencies, skills, and abilities:

-  Good oral and written communications in English.

-  Proficient in the use of computer and applications (Microsoft Office, database, and internet search engines).

-  Ability to perform job duties with little or no supervision.

-  Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

-  Ability to work safely and direct the maintenance department to work safely, with an emphasis on following procedures and best management
   practices.  

-  Ability to interact with regulatory agencies and peers with self-confidence, poise, and professionalism.

-  Must be a problem solver with the ability to find resolutions.

-  Working knowledge of liquid storage and handling facilities consisting of product transfers via vessels / barge and pipe line.

-  Working knowledge of bulk storage and handling facilities consisting of loading / unloading vessel / barge along with storage of various bulk materials.

-  Willing to travel to multiple locations across the region.

 Physical demands:

-  Ability to travel frequently and stay away from home during travels.

-  Ability to hear communications from others and give input / directions orally.

-  Ability to observe employees, operations, processes, equipment and facilities.

Working conditions:

-  Frequent travel within the regional area of responsibility with occasional travel.

Supervisory responsibility:

-  Directs a supervisory staff of approximately 3-5 managers.
