We are seeking a Director of Operations to become an integral part of our dynamic team! This position is responsible for the comprehensive oversight and management of operations staff, manufacturing processes, procurement, quality assurance, project management, productivity, timely delivery metrics, cost control, budgeting/forecasting, and asset management. The Director will lead and cultivate a highly effective team in a fast-paced, matrixed setting, focusing on enhancing processes in Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery performance, and
inventory management through the implementation of best business practices such as Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma. The role involves implementing company and factory policies across the manufacturing operations and converting them into actionable business, team, and individual objectives.
This position will be reporting to VP Operations for Hubbell Electrical Solutions (HES).
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Management, Engineering, Operations, or equivalent; MBA preferred 15 years’ experience as a Plant Manager, Operations Manager or Director of Operations – preferably in a medium to heavy manufacturing environment in Mexico. Bi-lingual and strong multicultural experience are a must. Spanish and English. At least 10 years with proven leadership skills in a supervisory position. Strong knowledge of Financial Management. Dynamic, results-oriented, metric driven, disciplined leadership. Strong Supply Chain and ERP systems experience and knowledge (SAP preferred) 5+ years’ experience with Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma quality processes. Computer Skills: Must have strong Microsoft Office, email and other PC application skills. Problem solving: Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; Develops alternative solutions; Works well in group problem solving situations; Uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics.
