**Job Summary**
As the Director- Operations, Center of Excellence, MSS, you will lead the creation and operation of one of three Global Hubs within the MSS Project Execution Center of Excellence strategy. The Southeast Asia (SEA) Hub represents an Operations Center based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, focused on global fulfillment of project management and engineering project execution, with a specialized competency in floating production and offshore applications globally. Establish an organization with the capacity and competency to effectively execute projects within a highly collaborative culture and organizational structure that leverages a pool of ~50 engineering resources to deliver on global MSS business objectives. This leadership role will be expected to drive operational excellence, talent development, and strategic growth initiatives while ensuring alignment with global MSS strategies.
This position reports directly to the MSS Leader AP, Engineered Solutions and Lifecycle Services, with a dotted line to the MSS Global Operations and Engineering Leader. The role requires effective partnership and collaboration with MSS Business Unit leaders across all World-Areas.

**In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:**
+ Build and lead a high-performing team of ~50 MSS SEA Hub engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, customer focus, technical expertise, and accountability
+ Provide strategic leadership through clear goal-setting and mentorship, developing leaders who can build the competencies and expertise needed to support MSS business objectives globally
+ Establish and maintain effective coordination with global stakeholders who have operational accountability for the direction and prioritization of resources within the SEA Hub
+ Partner with Emerson's global leadership team to ensure proper governance, safety protocols, due diligence processes, and deliverables for the entity
+ Develop and implement talent acquisition and retention strategies to create a world-class workplace, including, but not limited to, college recruitment programs, leadership development initiatives, and career management frameworks that position Emerson as a preferred employer in the Malaysian market
+ Optimize cost-effectiveness by identifying operational synergies, managing overhead and salary costs, and enhancing productivity across the engineering team in both Malaysia and Singapore
+ Establish and oversee budgets, plans, policies, and programs that effectively support World-Area (WA) organizations and align with MSS Business Unit objectives
+ Collaborate with leadership across regions and countries to achieve operational synergies and ensure strategies and activities are integrated with overall MSOL/MSS global strategies
+ Directly manage all functional leaders through ongoing assessment, talent identification, selection, and development to ensure strong "bench strength" and advancement opportunities for high-potential team members
+ Work collaboratively across the global MSS Center of Excellence teams (3 Hub locations and World Area trade locations) to create operational synergies and drive continuous improvement

**For This Role, You Will Need:**
+ Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering or any related field
+ 15+ years in senior leadership roles, preferably with experience in sales/marketing areas and P&L management
+ Strong business acumen with exceptional organizational skills
+ Proven track record as an effective mentor with solid experience in building high-performing organizations
+ Excellent communication skills with demonstrated leadership capabilities
**Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:**
+ Master's/MBA preferred Oil and Gas industry experience will be given preference.
