\n\nWhat will I be doing?
\n\nAs Director of Travel Industry, you would be responsible for representing the hotel’s services and facilities to travel industry clients and customers in the hotel’s continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. This role would report into the Director of Sales & Marketing, and oversees a Transient Sales Manager.
\n\nSpecifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
\n\n\n\tRespond to sales inquiries from travel industry clients and customers seeking sleeping rooms, meeting space, food and beverage services, etc.\n\tSolicit and maintain relationships with travel industry organizations including, but not limited to, travel agencies, tour companies, travel associations, etc.\n\tTravel to assigned territory to make direct sales calls and to attend travel industry receptions\n\tInitiate new sales, prospect and qualify leads and solicit potential clients\n\tCorrespond with travel agents and participate in leisure and business travel trade shows, sales calls and client events\n\tConduct property familiarization trips and tours and site visits for travel agents\n\tParticipate in the development of targeted packages and promotions and in the development of a client reward program\n\tDetermine rates, prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, service accounts and analyze lost business for the hotel(s), as needed\n\tAssist in the development of sales plans and strategies to meet or exceed established revenue and room night goals in leisure and business travel\n\tPartner with operations departments to ensure full participation in servicing accounts \n\n\n#LI-SC1

\n\n\n\tHospitality Management experience required\n\tCandidates must have a track record of success and a minimum of 5 years in the hotel industry\n\tCurrent or recent business and market experience directing sales for both group and leisure segment\n\tAppropriate, professional appearance and presentation\n\tAbility to balance workload that involves following up with past third-party clients & end-user group contacts, day-to-day obligations and growing future business\n\tExtremely strong written, interpersonal and presentation skills\n\tStrong computer knowledge, with technical ability and/or aptitude to fully use Delphi and Springer-Miller property management systems.\n\tAble to demonstrate flexibility to the customer and nimble at successfully negotiating business in person, and over the phone\n\tMotivated personality who can confirm definite leisure business for the hotel without being “pushy”\n\tTeam player who fosters good work relationships with a positive mental attitude \n\tVery detail-oriented and desire to proactively assist team members and guests who need help at anytime\n\tMust be able to meet or exceed Leisure Sales goals\n\n\nSince being founded in 1919, Hilton has been a leader in the hospitality industry.
