The Director of Technology Innovation and Data is responsible for the efficient operation and maintenance of all computer systems, data and voice communications activities at Property and Private Residences.
What you will do
Assist hotel guests with technical requirements and issues.
Provide high levels of service and support to administrative users in accordance with the contracted Service Level Agreement.
Ensure critical systems, specifically Front Office Property Management System, IPTV, HSIA, PABX, and Food & Beverage Point of Sale systems are operational 24 hours a day.
Administer and manage Active Directory, user access controls, and security policies.
Oversee server infrastructure maintenance and optimization efforts.
Implement and manage network security solutions such as firewalls, web security tools, and failover mechanisms to ensure data protection and business continuity.
Recommend new applications and tools to streamline and enhance hotel business processes.
Implement technology best practices across all departments.
Provide HSIA guest and customer support when no third-party support agreement is in place.
Assist in other areas of the Accounting Office as needed.
Establish and maintain user procedures and provide hardware familiarization training for all systems.
Contribute to technology capital and operating budgets through effective administration services.
Perform systems administration tasks, including maintaining user/group accounts, user configurations, troubleshooting access issues, and documenting processes on-site.
Assist with server infrastructure management, performance monitoring, operating system upgrades, and issue troubleshooting.
Ensure effective support for all other systems, including Back Office, Sales & Catering, Human Resources applications, and any other on-premises or cloud-based solutions.
Provide system support services, including outage diagnosis, troubleshooting, restoration, and virus protection management.
Provide 24/7 support for mission-critical systems.
Maintain and promote Four Seasons core technology standards as outlined in the Four Seasons TID Standards.
Assist in the coordination of new acquisitions and major technology projects as required.
Participate in property-level and corporate-initiated technology implementations.
Demonstrate strong knowledge of and support for desktop operating systems and applications, including patches and updates.
Provide direct guest support and quality technical assistance to function rooms and conference services.
Administer Microsoft 365, global VPN connectivity, and other communication tools.
Support systems backup and recovery procedures.
Manage and coordinate with third-party technology vendors and contractors.
Support and maintain the hotel's network infrastructure, including both wired and wireless networks, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability.
What You Bring
University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in hotel IT management, with at least 2 years in a Director of IT role.
Proven expertise in hospitality technology systems such as Opera PMS, HSIA, POS, and network infrastructure.
Strong project management skills and experience implementing IT upgrades and new systems.
Solid knowledge of network security, server infrastructure, Active Directory, and backup solutions.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced luxury hospitality environment.
