General Summary:
As Director of Technical Engineering Program Management with Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., the beneficiary will develop, define, and execute plans of record in the Automotive division, coordinating, driving and developing Qualcomm's industry leading products for mobile phones, computers, automotive and other edge technology products that are sold and used in world-wide mobile phone / automotive / PC / CPU server products by Samsung, Apple and other OEMs. Specifically, the Director, Program Management role will drive automotive product life cycle for Semiconductor Chipset and associated software product that pertain to Qualcomm’s Automotive System on Chip (SoC) across many engineering disciplines from Hardware design, electrical circuits, bring up Software stack by working teams who are delivering Electrical and Software components for these projects to package the entire products and test and deliver to customers, which includes the following responsibilities:
• Leadership & Strategy:
- Leads and manages multidisciplinary engineering projects comprising System on Chip (SoC)
Semiconductor and Electrical hardware designs, development, testing and validation for automotive applications.
- Defines engineering strategies, roadmaps, and best practices for Hardware SoC and
development aligned with company goals.
- Lead the engineering projects using Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) knowledge and having in depth understanding and experience in ADAS product development cycle along with functional safety for Electrical systems.
• System on Chip (SoC) Development:
- Oversee the end-to-end product design, architecture, and verification of SoC electrical circuitry and its
platforms.
- Collaborate with product management and system architects to translate requirements into product
level requirements into low level Semiconductor, Electrical system and Software applications’ solutions. -
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, quality, and reliability benchmarks.
• Engineering Product Execution & Management:
- Using project management strategies to kick off, review and define high-level program goals and
prioritized deliverables, coordinates business processes (e.g., project change management,
communication), and drives decisions necessary for program delivery by partnering with program
sponsors.
- Manage the development and integration of Electrical system and software and firmware for SoCbased
products.
- Coordinate with cross functional engineering teams to ensure timely delivery of drivers, software
development kits (SDKs), and system software that drive the Semiconductor SoC and its electrical
systems.
- Develops and manages the execution of the program Plan of Record (e.g., on time, on budget, within
scope) for multiple small programs or a single medium sized or complex programs/technology which
includes schedule and resource forecasting, stakeholder identification, method and frequent
communication, scope, and prioritization.
- Tracks and manages all key metrics related to engineering programs, identifies significant deviations
from the Plan of Record, escalates issues promptly, and proposes corrective actions.
- Manages and prioritizes the work of the program team by establishing schedules, task assignments, Identifies program issues/risks and creates a risk mitigation plan
for multiple small programs or a single medium sized or complex program.
- Drive innovation in software strategies to optimize electrical hardware performance and product
features.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.• 8+ years of Program Management or related work experience.

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:
$188,000.00 - $282,000.00The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm.
