We’re Looking For:

We are seeking a Director, Talent Growth & Development with experience in leading highly effective talent, learning, and performance initiatives. You will be part of the Human Resources team responsible for driving talent strategies that fuel growth and lead to highly engaged teams.

You will be involved in directing the design and implementation of learning and organizational development programs, driving the execution of the Talent Development strategy, and identifying organization-wide and business unit-specific learning and development needs. 

In this role, you will have the opportunity to use your experience in organizational development theories, leadership development approaches, and instructional design.

The ideal candidate will have 10 years of progressive Human Resources/Talent Development experience, with 5+ years in organization development/effectiveness, talent Development, leadership development, and internal company business consulting and at least 3+ years in leading HR Professionals. 

You Are:

Strategic. 

You deliver operational excellence at both the strategic and tactical levels, starting with a vision, you drive talent strategies that fuel growth. 

You ensure all training and development programs are consistent with OPENLANE values and actively support diversity and inclusion strategies.

Your work drives continued growth for our employees through meaningful and engaging content. 

You provide consultation and oversight in all talent processes, such as succession planning, talent assessment, training and development, and career path solutions.

Collaborative.

You direct the collaborative design, development, and implementation of learning and organizational development programs.

You partner with HR Business Partners and internal stakeholders to identify talent succession gaps and ensure learning solutions support business objectives.

You partner with Talent Acquisition to understand and advise on specific talent skill sets that can be nurtured to drive internal mobility. 

You partner with the Engagement team to develop and manage a comprehensive onboarding and new hire experience.

Analytical.

You perform analysis on the effectiveness and competitiveness of existing talent Development processes and programs.

You measure and report on the success of programs through clearly defined metrics, taking appropriate action based on insights.

A Developer.

You identify organization-wide and business unit-specific learning and development needs.

You develop and implement strategically aligned initiatives to create, lead, and grow world-class training and development programs.

You establish and expand training and development programs to enable the leaders, managers and employees of OPENLANE in their personal and professional growth.

A Leader. 

You manage and lead the talent growth and development team responsible for onboarding, delivery of learning, professional development and talent Development processes.

You Will:

Lead the charge to deliver highly effective talent, learning, and performance initiatives for OPENLANE.

Drive execution of the Talent Development strategy, integrating best practices/trends.

Implement solutions to reskill and/or upskill the OPENLANE workforce to meet current and future needs.

Ensure high potential and emerging key talent data is captured during the performance review process and incorporated into development programming.

Develop and drive communication, awareness, and support of Talent initiatives and expectations throughout OPENLANE.

Operate as both a visionary and tactical executioner of projects, tasks, and implementation. 

Who You Will Work With:

This role will frequently collaborate and partner with other HR functional leaders, HR Partners, and directly with business stakeholders across the organization. 

Where you Work:

Your work is performed as a full-time in office or hybrid employee at our Global Headquarters in Carmel, Indiana. 

Must Have’s:

10+ years progressive Human Resources/Talent Development experience

5+ years of demonstrated experience in organization development/effectiveness, talent development, leadership development and internal company business consulting

3+ years in leading HR professionals. 

Bachelor’s degree in HR/OD, Business or related field

Deep proficiency in pragmatically applying organization development theories, philosophies, and methods to develop solutions addressing leadership development needs.

Proven ability to assess trends and provide innovative solutions.

Ability to design curricula and content, assess and coach at all levels of the organization.

Strong knowledge of adult learning practices, leadership development approaches, and instructional design.

Demonstrated multi-level project management skills and technically savvy.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to Have’s:

Experience using Workday and Skillsoft

Master’s degree preferred
