Your Role As a key member of the senior leadership team and reporting to the School Director, you will be responsible for leading the non-academic operations of the campus, with direct oversight of the Customer Support, Activities, Welfare and Residence departments. This is a people-focused role that balances leadership with hands-on involvement. You will be instrumental in shaping an exceptional student experience, ensuring operational excellence and fostering a culture of professionalism, care and continuous improvement across your teams. This role is ideal for someone who is looking to work towards future school leadership. Responsibilities Champion an exceptional student experience by driving high service standards, operational excellence and a culture of genuine care – with customer satisfaction as the key measure of success Provide strategic leadership and direct line management to the heads of non-academic departments; including Customer Support, Activities, Welfare and Residence departments Foster a supportive and empowering environment across departments by encouraging ownership, nurturing professional development and keeping teams engaged and motivated to deliver their best Be an active, approachable and hands-on member of the senior leadership team – setting the tone by leading from the front and staying closely connected to both staff and student life Drive the collection and analysis of student feedback by ensuring strong participation in evaluations, interpreting data insights and using them to implement targeted improvements that enhance the overall student experience Manage a wide range of individual student cases, including those related to welfare, disciplinary matters, low evaluation scores and overall customer experience – always ensuring issues are handled with care, professionalism and a student-first mindset Uphold all safeguarding, health & safety and quality assurance standards in line with accreditation and industry expectations Work closely with the academic and facilities teams to ensure alignment and prioritisation of operational goals Support with budgeting, cost control and resource planning to ensure sustainable service delivery Requirements Relentless focus on customer service and quality Commitment to the highest standards of welfare provision 3+ years’ experience as a manager running a team of no less than 10 staff Ability to guide, develop, inspire and motivate teams Proven track record in effective recruitment and HR Operational experience (education sector desired, but not essential) Global or international work experience desired A model of quality & professionalism Warm, approachable, empathetic and caring – for staff and students Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage difficult situations & remain calm under pressure Excellent cross-cultural communication, people and conflict resolution skills Strong, confident decision maker and highly motivated Comfortable with a fast paced environment University graduate required; C2 level proficiency in spoken and written English, other languages are an advantage Right to work in the UK (sponsorship may be considered) Clean DBS check and 2 references required Why to work at EF Continuous professional development for all staff Work in a truly international environment Regular social events Ambition is nurtured and fast-tracked career enhancement opportunities are provided Staff are encouraged to innovate, take ownership of their ideas and bring them to fruition Global career opportunities Employee Assistance Program Private medical insurance Life insurance Cycle to work scheme Free access to EF Hello language learning ---------------------------------- EF is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
