Purpose:

We are seeking a proactive and analytically driven Director of Strategy & Initiatives with deep experience in the senior living industry to support strategic operations and cross-functional initiatives. This role will serve as a critical liaison between Operations, FP&A, and ownership groups, helping ensure timely and accurate responses to ownership inquiries, performance updates, and strategic requests. The ideal candidate combines strong project execution skills with the ability to synthesize operational and financial data into clear, actionable insights.


Essential Job Functions:

Ownership & Stakeholder Support

Serve as a key point of contact for ownership groups, supporting Operations in responding to ad hoc data requests, performance updates, and special reporting needs.Coordinate cross-functional responses to ownership inquiries, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery.Prepare and review materials for ownership meetings, including quarterly business reviews, strategic initiative updates, and community-level deep dives.Partner with FP&A to align operational reporting with ownership expectations and contractual obligations.

Strategic Initiatives & Execution

Lead high-priority initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency, financial performance, and resident outcomes.Develop strategic roadmaps and implementation plans for new initiatives across cross-functional teams.Track initiative performance metrics and ensure accountability for execution across stakeholders.

Operational Alignment & Project Management

Support the Operations team in prioritizing and managing workload related to ownership deliverables, strategic projects, and reporting timelines.Identify gaps in processes, workflows, or data visibility that hinder performance or responsiveness to external stakeholders.Assist with rollout and adoption of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and company-wide initiatives at the community level.

Financial & Data Analysis

Collaborate with FP&A to develop financial models that evaluate the impact of new initiatives or operational changes.Interpret financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities at both the community and portfolio level.Partner on budgeting, forecasting, and monthly/quarterly performance reviews.Support proforma development related to product mix changes and assist in analyzing and developing initiatives that enhance margin performance.


Minimum Eligibility Requirements5–8 years of experience in operations strategy, FP&A, or business transformation, with minimum 3 years in assisted living or senior housing.Strong understanding of the operating environment, compliance landscape, and financial drivers within assisted living communities.Demonstrated success in stakeholder communication and ownership reporting, preferably in a multi-site healthcare or senior living environment.Excellent project management skills and ability to navigate competing priorities.Highly proficient in Excel and financial modeling; experience with BI platforms (DOMO, Power BI) a plus.Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Health Administration, or related field; MBA or MHA preferred.
