Job Summary

\n

You, as Sterile Processing Director, manage medical sterilization in our healthcare facilities to ensure patient safety. Oversee the treatment cycle for instruments, supplies, and equipment. Ensure clinic, hospital, and care facility efficiency and cleanliness.

\n

This position will be based at our All Saints location in Fort Worth with Regional oversight of our facilities in Irving and Grapevine, TX.

\n

Implement sterile processing strategies in your area and ensure consistency. Focus on sterilization standards, quality control, and efficiency. Ensure full compliance with laws and regulations.

\n

You'll educate on regulations, procedures, safety, and sterilization standards. Monitor inventory to ensure resource availability for patient care.

\n

Essential Functions of the Role

\n\nManagement of all processes related to sterile processing within the defined scope of our organization.\nCreating strategies and guidelines for sterile processing to meet patient needs and business goals.\nSupervising sterile processing personnel to ensure they meet hospital standards for handling sterilized tools and materials. Operations must exceed requirements.\nMaking sure sterilization procedures follow regulations, like those from AAMI and HSPA, is crucial.\nCollaborating with Perioperative, Nursing, and Patient Safety teams to address trends in sterilization and disinfection that impact safety.\nSupervising the quality control protocol and maintenance documentation of the department's sterilization equipment.\n\n

Key Success Factors

\n\nPossession of a Bachelor's degree in nursing, business, or a related field, or relevant work experience.\nMinimum of three years (3) of work experience in sterile processing or operating room environments.\nPrevious experience in a Manager or Director role is an advantage.\nFamiliarity with working in a large acute-care hospital or hospital system is desirable.\nA solid understanding of sterile instrument processing methodologies, practices, and procedures.\nPossessing sterile processing certifications, such as Certified Sterile Processing (CRCST, CSPDT, CSPM or CSIS) and Distribution Technician, is favorable.\n\n
