As a Director of Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within the Regulatory, Controls & Op Risk Technology (RCORT) as a part of Corporate Technology, you will lead a technical domain, managing teams, technologies, and projects across different departments. Leads technology and process implementations to achieve functional technology objectivesExecutes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problemsMakes decisions that influence teams’ resources, budget, tactical operations, and the execution and implementation of processes and proceduresApply deep technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies, to diverse and complex projects of moderate to large scopeCarries governance accountability for coding decisions, control obligations, and measures of success such as cost of ownership, maintainability, and portfolio operationsDelivers technical solutions that can be leveraged across multiple businesses and domainsInfluences peer leaders and senior stakeholders across the business, product, and technology teams

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 10+ years applied experience. In addition, 5+ years of experience leading technologists to manage, anticipate and solve complex technical items within your domain of expertiseExperience developing or leading cross-functional teams of technologistsExperience with hiring, developing, and recognizing talentPractical cloud native experienceHands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stabilityExpert in Agility practices, SDLC processes, CICD, application resiliency and securityExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with prior experience of influencing across matrixed, complex organizations and delivering valueExperience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages

Strong analytical, logical and problem solving skills to provide solution to complex business problems

Experience in Public cloud technologies  (AWS, GCP, Azure)
