As an Artifacts Director of Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Technology Office, you lead a technical area and drive impact within teams, technologies, and projects across departments. Utilize your in-depth knowledge of software, applications, technical processes, and product management to drive multiple complex projects and initiatives, while serving as a primary decision maker for your teams and be a driver of innovation and solution delivery.

Leads technology and process implementations to achieve functional technology objectivesMakes decisions that influence teams’ resources, budget, tactical operations, and the execution and implementation of processes and proceduresDelivers technical solutions that can be leveraged across multiple businesses and domainsInfluences peer leaders and senior stakeholders across the business, product, and technology teamsChampions the firm’s culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respectWork collaboratively to ensure team and organization standards are followed and the team is consistently focused on continuous improvements and sustained delivery.Employ simple design and pragmatic implementation techniques to drive business value.Pair program with team members to build high-quality solutions.Be passionate about technology and constantly seek ways of learning new technology and practicesMentor junior team members to progress their technical and professional skills. Be open and actively seeking learning opportunities from more senior team membersRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 10+ years applied experience. In addition, 5+ years of experience leading technologists to manage, anticipate and solve complex technical items within your domain of expertise.15+ years of software engineering experience, with firm understanding of various design patterns, cloud native microservices architecture and engineering practicesStrong experience working with Java, Spring Boot and Oracle, along with good understanding of pypi, nuget, npm and maven build toolingComfortable in more than two programming languages with a strong understanding of fundamental web/internet technologies.Experience with both Private and Public clouds ranging from IaaS to PaaS solutions. Hands on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS EKS and ECS is requiredPractical experience with unit testing using tools like JUnit and MockitoExperience developing or leading cross-functional teams of technologistsExperience with hiring, developing, and recognizing talentExpertise in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical fieldPreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
Proficient in SQL preferably across multiple databases.Grafana, Cortex, KibanaDatadog, CloudwatchJFrog Artifactory
