As the Director of Software and System Validation based in Mexico City, you will be a pivotal leader guiding the execution of verification and validation across all Ford programs. You will spearhead a multi-regional team laser-focused on defining and executing comprehensive testing strategies that meet the needs of individual vehicle programs while driving a unified Platform approach. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, or equivalent relevant combined with 15+ years in automotive ECU hardware/software development or system/software validation, including full product lifecycle management (concept to production).Proven success building, leading, motivating, and managing technical teams, coupled with strong strategic planning, operational decision-making, and process implementation skills.Excellent communication abilities (written, verbal, interpersonal, executive presentation) and resilient, creative problem-solving skills adaptable to evolving environments.A self-motivated, independent work ethic with a strong drive for results, commitment to quality, meticulous attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.The ability to work a hybrid schedule based out of our Mexico City office.Even better, you may have:

Lead & Inspire:
Manage and develop a high-performing, multi-regional V&V organization dedicated to delivering quality software against committed plans. Foster a positive, collaborative, and quality-focused team environment.Strategize & Innovate:
Drive V&V strategy transformations aimed at significantly improving software quality by reducing defect escapes, increasing test automation, and boosting overall efficiency. Champion continuous improvement initiatives.Execute & Deliver:
Oversee the creation, communication, and management of V&V plans. Ensure meticulous execution towards software delivery milestones across vehicle programs and the Platform lifecycle, managing timelines, risk mitigation, and budget adherence. Leverage JIRA for change control and coordinate closely with agile Program Increment (PI) planning.Collaborate & Communicate:
Partner closely with Systems Lifecycle, Development, Technical Program Management, and Vehicle Program teams. Interface effectively with system owners, platform teams, and feature developers to define V&V strategy and report on planning and execution status. Lead cross-functional communication meetings and provide clear, concise updates and feasibility assessments to stakeholders, including executive-level summaries.Ensure Quality & Compliance:
Drive a rigorous quality focus throughout the team and its deliverables. Adhere to the V&V process, track leading metrics (KPIs), and ensure alignment with common tools and methods to drive efficiency and meet quality, financial, and talent objectives.
