Read more about us at: www.sms-magic.com Company Overview: Watch here (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f7\_AqQdft9w) Job Overview: As the Director of Sales – Account Management at SMS Magic, you will be responsible for managing and expanding a high-value portfolio, with a laser focus on renewals, upsell, cross-sell , and long-term relationship management . You’ll lead a high-performing team that drives revenue through strategic account growth, exceptional customer engagement, and a consultative approach. This role requires a deep understanding of client ecosystems, alignment with Customer Success, and data-driven leadership to consistently meet or exceed revenue goals. Key Responsibilities: + Account Growth Leadership: Lead a team of account managers to drive revenue growth across an existing $5M portfolio. Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities aligned with client business objectives.   + Customer Retention & Expansion: Build long-term relationships with key customers to ensure retention and loyalty. Implement structured QBRs, success plans, and roadmap alignment strategies.   + Team Management: Recruit, mentor, and coach a team of account managers; define KPIs and ensure quota attainment across the board.   + Revenue Forecasting: Deliver precise monthly and quarterly revenue forecasts with <20% variance. Leverage CRM and reporting tools for accuracy.   + Collaboration Across Functions: Work closely with Customer Success, Marketing, and Product teams to co-create value-driven solutions tailored to customer needs.   + Customer Insights & Analytics: Use SMS Magic dashboards to assess campaign performance, user adoption, and revenue influence. Drive conversations with customers using data.   + Playbook Development: Collaborate with marketing to create and refine sales playbooks for upsell/cross-sell, renewals, and churn reduction initiatives.   + Lead Generation Support: Ensure the team is equipped and motivated to self-source leads through account mining and referrals.   What You Bring: + Experience: 12+ years in SaaS sales, including 6-8 years of experience managing sales/account management teams.   + Track Record: Demonstrated success in growing large enterprise or mid-market accounts, hitting aggressive revenue targets, and improving NRR (Net Revenue Retention).   + Consultative Mindset: Ability to understand customer business models and tailor messaging solutions to drive impact.   + Data Fluency: Comfortable interpreting dashboards, campaign insights, and pipeline metrics to inform decisions.   + Leadership DNA: Proven ability to inspire cross-functional teams, handle ambiguity, and manage remote/global stakeholders.   + Agility & Drive: Operates with a startup mindset—fast-moving, responsive, and customer-obsessed.     Powered by JazzHR
