Overview The Margaritaville Lake Resort, Lake Conroe offers 335 Lakefront suites, including 32 lakefront, stand-alone cottages, with personal boat slips exclusively for the cottage guests. In addition, along with a 72,000 square foot, IACC-Approved Conference Center, a walk-on, 18-hole resort golf course, a family-friendly, 3-acre lakefront water park with a lazy river and multiple pools, a 37,000 square foot full-service spa, and an extensive 24-hour, health, racquet and fitness center. Signature Margaritaville dining experiences: LandShark Bar & Grill with 80 boat slips on Lake Conroe 5 o’Clock Somewhere Swim-up Pool Bar Joe Merchant Coffee and Provisions Lone Palm Pool Bar & Restaurant License to Chill Bar and Cafe Position Overview Complements and collaborates with the Vice President, Sales & Marketing (VP,SM) to assist in leading of the resort’s group sales effort and specifically leads the WRB sales efforts while personally handling a substantial group goal in the Corporate Market, primarily focused on Houston Corporate organizations. Shares responsibility with the VP,SM for achieving group revenue goals, guest and associate satisfaction. Provides day-to-day leadership oversight to the WRB sales associate with a focus on building long-term, value-based customer relationships that enable achievement of the resort’s group sales objectives. Qualifications Directing & Managing for Sales Results: Assists the VP,SM with leading the resort’s group sales efforts and results, and has specific responsibility for personal performance in the group corporate market and that of the WRB Sales Manager. Business Development; develops specific and effective prospecting tools and systems and works with the VP,SM to help the entire sales team deploy those tools effectively. Is an advocate and champion of Benchmark’s Sales Essentials Is an advocate and champion of Benchmark’s Sales Training Platform; SalesBoost. Develops sales goals for the WRB sales manager and assists the VPSM with sales team goals that support the resort’s financial expectations. Assists the VP,SM with developing and managing group sales revenues and expense budgets to optimize profitability and assists in providing accurate forecasting reports. Assists the VP,SM to works with the resort team to create and implement a group sales/marketing plan addressing revenue, customers and market trends. Assists with selling, implementation and follow-through of group sales promotions. Executes and supports the operational aspects of business booked (e.g., generating proposal, writing contracts, effective customer correspondence). Verifies that the resort implements a seamless turnover from sales to CS and operations. Assists the VP,SM in managing the resort's reactive and proactive group sales efforts. Works with the DORM, Finance Director and Systems on technological solutions and platforms. Supports and trouble-shoots: PMS Interface .FDC Social Tables Management Reporting Knowland Performs other duties, as assigned, to meet business needs. Education and Experience Required: 4-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Resort and Restaurant Management, or related major; 4 years experience in successful hospitality sales or related professional area. 5 years of successful group sales experience in the Houston Corporate Market
