**Job Summary and Qualifications**
We are seeking a Director of Security & Safety Services. You will develop, implement, and administer a comprehensive facility safety and security plan to ensure the protection of staff, patients, visitors and property. You will plan, coordinate and continuously evaluate the security operations of the hospital in accordance with operating procedures, facility policies and regulatory requirements. **Responsibilities:**
· You will demonstrate twenty-four hour responsibility and accountability for planning, coordinating, maintaining and managing all phases of facility safety and security operations.
· You will have leadership responsibility for Emergency Management and Preparedness activities and serve as the Safety Officer for the facility.
· You will ensure provision of quality services by maintaining appropriate resources, staffing levels, competency of staff, maintenance/ and performance of equipment, physical space, and training and education of staff.
· You will apply the principle of continuous quality improvement in delivery of services through assessment, measuring and monitoring of security a system processes and systems.
· You will coordinate security/safety inspections to identify problem and develop recommended solutions.
· You will demonstrate knowledge of the occurrence reporting system and reports trends in occurrences to staff quarterly.
**What qualifications you will need:**
· Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, Police Science, Security Management or related field required. Master’s Degree in related field strongly preferred.
· Minimum of 10-years of demonstrated experience in managing a corporate security or law enforcement program for a healthcare organization, corporation or in a federal/state agency, and 3-5 years’ experience in law enforcement preferred.
