Director of Revenue Management
SUMMARY
The Director of Revenue Management is responsible for the total rooms’ revenue success of the hotel by ensuring yield and revenue management strategies are implemented and effectively controlled. Additionally, this position ensures outstanding customer service, reservation sales process effectiveness and enforcement of revenue and yield management policies. The Revenue Manager will implement selling strategies and inventory restrictions that capture the optimal revenue producing business for the hotel.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Job duties include, although not limited to:
+ Extensive sales training within all room products and outlets
+ Inventory and yield management
+ Regular and meticulous reporting to leadership
+ Support reservations department in selling a wide array of hotel room and suite components, along with sophisticated selling strategies for the different hotel outlets
+ Use the Demand Tracking Analysis information creating accurate future unconstrained demand forecasts and capacity forecasts.
+ Implement appropriate inventory restrictions when demand is projected to exceed capacity to capture optimal revenue customers based on arrival date, average rate and length of stay
+ Prepare agenda, critiques, tracking, competitive analysis and future strategies for presentation at the weekly Revenue Management Strategy Meeting
+ Build and distribute daily, weekly and monthly reports
+ Implement daily room night, average rate and turndown tracking as outlined in the hotel Strategic Sales Plan
+ Negotiate long-term, local and corporate accounts, driving overall profitability resort wide
QUALIFICATIONS
+ High school or equivalent education required
+ Bachelor's degree preferred
+ 5 years hotel supervisory or management experience
+ Minimum of 3 years of Revenue Management or related discipline experience required
+ Strong relationship skills to communicate successfully with travel agents, OTAs, other industry partners, and any other initiative supporting a successful reservations and yield management model
+ Must be able to perform in a fast, ever changing market
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs. on a regular basis. Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, bending, stooping, squatting, stretching, repetitive motions, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity to fulfill tasks. Must have finger dexterity to be able to operate office equipment.
The pay scale for Director of Revenue Management is $130,000 to $165,000.
The pay scale is the base salary or hourly wage range, exclusive of incentive pay such as commissions, piece rates, gratuities, and the like, that Montage reasonably expects to pay for the position.
