About the Role
The role of the director of revenue at Four Seasons Hotel goes beyond simply managing a sales team. This influential position sets the overall direction and strategy for the company's sales team, playing a vital role in aligning sales, marketing, and customer support processes to meet and exceed key performance indicators (KPIs).
To excel in this position, certain skills are crucial. Firstly, their strategic mindset allows them to analyse market trends and identify opportunities for revenue optimization. They must possess excellent communication and negotiation abilities to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
A positive attitude is also essential for motivating people and teams under their management. By fostering an environment where individuals can thrive professionally, the Director of Revenue plays an instrumental role in maximizing team potential.
What You Will Do
Develop and execute revenue management strategies to maximize overall revenue across all hotel departments, ensuring profitability while maintaining Four Seasons' high service standards.
Oversee pricing strategies for rooms, spa services, dining, and other hotel amenities, adjusting rates dynamically to optimize demand and revenue.
Monitor competitive market trends, analyze performance data, and adjust strategies accordingly to stay ahead of market changes.
Collaborate with the sales, marketing, and front office teams to establish pricing structures and promotional offers that maximize occupancy and revenue per available room (RevPAR).
Lead the development of pricing strategies, including room rates, packages, and offers for peak seasons and special events.
Conduct regular analysis of key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying areas for improvement and implementing action plans to drive performance.
Oversee the forecasting process, ensuring accurate projections of room availability, revenue, and demand trends.
Lead and train the revenue team, ensuring they are equipped with the skills, tools, and knowledge to achieve departmental goals.
Maintain a strong relationship with the sales and marketing departments to ensure alignment on pricing strategies, promotional activities, and revenue goals.
Use advanced analytical tools and data to continuously assess and optimize revenue strategies.
Act as a key stakeholder in business development efforts, advising senior leadership on revenue growth opportunities.
What You Bring
Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
Proven experience in revenue management within a luxury hotel or resort environment.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable revenue strategies.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Knowledge of revenue management systems (RMS) and property management systems (PMS).
In-depth understanding of market segmentation, pricing strategies, and demand forecasting.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining a focus on service excellence.
Proficiency in English; Arabic language skills are a plus.
Suitable candidates must be eligible to work in Saudi Arabia.
