As a Sales Director, you are responsible for successfully managing a team of Regional and District Managers, and working under the Senior Director, representing an energy service provider, Reliant Energy. Working within a retail environment, you will effectively train, coach and mentor reps on delivering sales training, brand awareness, product knowledge, sales techniques, and assisting with any issues.

Manage, motivate, direct and coordinate activities of team members to meet and/or exceed sales and project goalsAccurately create opportunity assessment, market evaluation.Develop client/production roadmap I the long, mid and short term incorporating customer needs, input, and feedback from internal and external groups.Benchmark performance against internal and external goalsPersonally accountable for team members and all documentation pertaining to team productivityResponsible to accurately track sales, events, and merchandising projectsSuccessfully develop and build territory relationships through networkingEffectively provide daily direction, training, and guidance while ensuring the retention of the teamSuccessfully determine staffing requirements in accordance with client and company directivesEnsure proper training of sales techniques, products, policies, etc.Administer and document all counsellings and terminations accurately and in a timely manner while following established proceduresContribute to team effort by assisting in launch-related activities, as neededTravel to locations regularly throughout the territoryEnsure adherence to all company policies and proceduresAttend meetings and conference calls as required in and out of regions as neededAssist in temporarily overseeing retail locations as business needs dictateDress and act professionally at all timesPerform all other duties as assignedPerformance Measurements:
Ensure team meets established weekly/monthly projects goals/quotasCustomer/client satisfaction based on the territory's rejection percentages and substantiated complaintsMaintain proper head-count across regionsQualifications:
Bachelor's Degree required; Master’s degree a plus7-10 years retail and sales management experience requiredMust have highly developed written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to provide concise monthly business summaries, and deliver presentations to all levels.Superior leadership abilities with effective, professional communication and presentation skillsAbility to develop high level of credibility and positive professional working relationships with team members, peers and upper management.Successfully motivate staff and effectively resolve performance issues.Proven ability to show good judgment and initiative, make decisions and problem solveCapable to work autonomously with excellent time management skillsMust be able to travel 50% of the year to various markets across the US and work flexible hoursAbility to manage by P&L standards across the entire business unitReliable transportation and proof of insuranceWhat You Can Expect From 2020 Companies
