Position Overview:
The Director of Psychology is responsible for overseeing the clinical psychological/psychosexual assessments for all youth within the cottage(s) to which they are assigned. The Director of Psychology is also responsible for providing adjunct clinical services to residents and their families. The employee will be engaged in treatment, assessment, and consultation. This induvial also directly supervises Senior Psychologists and oversees the Pre-Doctoral Psychology Internship Program.
The Director of Psychology shows dedication and willingness to work alongside the Integrated Treatment Model (ITM) team, supporting and carrying out the functions of the model to best serve the population. The Director of Psychology is expected to have a nonjudgmental approach that focuses on skill building and basic principles of behavior modification (reinforcement, extinction, blocking and shaping). The Director of Psychology is required to function as part of a team, committing to modeling pro social behavior and building positive relationships with all residents.
Position Qualifications:
A minimum of five years’ experience as a licensed psychologist. Experience can be outside of NY State, but a current NY State Psychology License required.
