Position Overview

We are currently looking to hire a Director of Programs to join our team overseeing our Project/Program Management team.

 

The Director of Programs will be responsible for the overall coordination of deliverables and accountability of project oriented work efforts. The Director of Programs will support/assist with creating scope documents based on project plans (work breakdown structures) and track key milestones, budget requests, and resources. 

 

Reports to VP of Implementation and Operations.

Responsibilities Responsible for overseeing Project and Program Management staff supporting multiple programs/projects for GOVT and Commercial customersMust be able to work across the full spectrum of the acquisition lifecycle from opportunity capture to services deliveryProvide Management support, to include developing and maintaining integrated master schedules, creating and submitting program related documentation, preparing and presenting briefings, providing full conference/meeting support, and preparing senior level strategic briefings and metrics as required by the CustomerEnsure the completion and integration of multiple complex projects simultaneouslyOversee the development and implementation of service descriptions and project requirements documentation, CONOPs and other documents to support preparation for review boards as required to ensure service delivery and operational supportProvide analysis and recommendations in support of the resolution of IT-related problems; executing the recommendations as directed by the client(s).Provide Senior-level strategic communications support, to include policy, process and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) review and developmentEscalation customer point of contact for projects with respect to issues resolution, solution options, etc.Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actionsOversees the status of multiple projects and budgets, schedules and status reportsEnsures proper relationships are established between customers, teaming partners and vendors to facilitate the delivery of information technology services and deliverablesExperience with planning, estimating, organizing, staffing and executing projects at scale, including multiple, distributed teams. Experience staffing and managing teams that include both an onsite and remote workforceExperience with organizing and coordinating the planning and production of client deliveries.Experience with meeting and completing tasks assignments within estimated periods and budget constraints.Experience with applying quality assurance measures to improve contract performance.Must have demonstrated success in all phases of acquisition management (scheduling, risk management, budgeting, procurement, and contract administration), and experience as an effective manager of teams comprised of diverse professional, technical and support personnel. Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision. Ability to establish an effective working relationship with senior-level customers, technical staff, managers and peers. Exceptional communication and presentation abilities with a demonstrated capability to coordinate and align efforts between government customers, senior executives, subcontractors and team members.Must be able to assess and enhance the performance of task leaders, team members, and support personnel, and processes that are being used.Must be able to understand multi-level customer/user expectations and concerns, and to assure customer(s) that the program is being managed effectively.Work with P/PM’s, finance, etc. on financial slides, program/project health and identifying issues and resolutions as required. Required Experience/Qualifications High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree in business, engineering, computer science, or information technology management or technical discipline is desiredAt least 3-7 years relevant Project/Program Management experience across the entire project life cycleWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office; specifically Excel and Project
Excellent communication, effective leadership, and interpersonal skills Preferred Experience/Qualifications Experience working with DISA is highly desiredPMP is desired but not requiredRelated industry experience in information technology or engineering Special Requirements/Security Clearance Minimum SECRET Clearance required Salary Range

Based on the roles, responsibilities, and requirements, the projected pay range for this position is: $140,000 - $175,000.

 

The annual base salary provided is a guideline for this position and is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. When extending an offer, By Light also considers other variables such as (but not limited to) work experience, education, training, skill set, internal peer equity, clearance level, and market conditions.
