Collins Aerospace is looking for a Director of Program Management to lead a global portfolio delivering advanced electric power systems for military aircraft. This is a high-impact leadership role where you’ll shape strategy, drive execution, and help scale our growing business in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
You’ll lead a team of Value Stream Leaders managing key programs—from sustainment to new development and high-priority pursuits. You’ll work closely with customers, guide cross-functional teams, and help win and deliver programs that matter.
**Qualifications You Must Have**
+ Leads a team of Value Stream Leaders managing large programs or multiple medium-sized programs to ensure adherence to program plans, schedules and budgets.
+ Oversees P&L of the combined programs to ensure that revenue and profitability targets are met.
+ Reviews and presents plans and progress reports relating to business aspects of the program(s).
+ Monitors value-stream strategy, progress and results to ensure that goals are achieved.
+ Maintains a thorough Risk and Opportunity register, establishing effective mitigation and realization plans respectively.
+ Drives business level strategic planning efforts.
+ Works with functional leaders to set forward looking investment plans.
+ Develops new business growth strategies to increase profitability and/or market share of the organization.
+ Directs collaboration with business unit functions across the company, empowered to deliver successful solutions.
+ Interfaces with customers for high level negotiations, recovery scenarios, and new business opportunities.
+ Establishes lasting and impactful relationships with key customers to ensure our solutions and services delight them while achieving mission success.
+ Establishes cost and customer satisfaction focused performance targets and directs work to achieve these targets.
+ Guides continuous improvement initiatives across value streams, including sustainment, services and mission readiness of critical platforms.
+ Works with other functional business leaders to set priorities for resources and funding. Co-owns portfolio prioritization process.
+ Responsible for overall development program execution, programmatic structure, and lessons learned.
**Qualifications You Must Have**
+ Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 14 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 12 years of experience
+ Knowledge of Government contracting and acquisition processes
+ Business capture and proposal development experience
+ Ability to travel for customer, company and program related activities (approx. 20%)
**Qualifications We Prefer**
+ Minimum of 4 years of demonstrated experience leading employees
+ Minimum of 5 years of experience in Earned Value (EV) and/or Profit & Loss (P&L) management
+ Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience managing development programs
+ Proven experience in building, leading, and developing high-performing teams
+ Strong background in programmatic and operational execution
+ Solid strategic planning skills and strong business acumen
+ Excellent ability to build, maintain, and grow internal and external relationships to support long-term business success
+ Proven success in capturing international and U.S. government and/or defense-related contracts
+ Demonstrated entrepreneurial mindset and approach to business and program execution

The salary range for this role is 176,000 USD - 352,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
