Director of Professional Services (Low Voltage)

About the role
The Director of Professional Services is a strategic leader responsible for driving North American operational excellence across the Field Engineering Low Voltage practice. This role combines hands-on leadership, project governance, and business development support to deliver exceptional field engineering services. With a strong foundation in management and adherence to BICSI standards, the Director of Professional Services ensures high-quality execution, continuous improvement, and team development across all initiatives.
This individual will oversee day-to-day operations, provide strategic direction, and serve as the primary point of escalation for complex issues. Partnering closely with sales, solutions, delivery teams, and third-party vendors, the Director of Professional Services plays a critical role in ensuring alignment between technical execution and client expectations.


What you'll be doing

Partner with business leaders to deliver services that support company objectives and that are consistent with Winning Together values. Team Leadership & Development Lead, mentor, and coach a high-performing team of technical professionals and project managers. Oversee onboarding and training of new team members, ensuring alignment with delivery standards and rapid integration. Foster a collaborative culture focused on performance, accountability, and innovation. Project/Program Development & Delivery Excellence Provide oversight across all projects/programs to ensure on-time, on-budget, and in-scope delivery. Collaborate with project managers and technical leads on planning, resource modeling, and milestone achievement. Monitor project health metrics, resolve critical escalations (4th level), and ensure quality assurance. Drive continuous improvement through retrospectives, process refinements, and lessons learned. Sales & Customer Engagement Partner with sales and solution architects to scope new opportunities and ensure delivery readiness. Participate in customer-facing meetings to assess business needs, present capabilities, and build trust. Review and validate Statements of Work (SOWs) for feasibility, resource planning, and delivery quality. Operational Management Manage the daily operations of the low voltage practice, ensuring delivery consistency and operational efficiency. Serve as the escalation point for operational and technical challenges, driving resolution and client satisfaction. Align team capabilities and availability with project demand and strategic goals. Vendor & Partner Relationships Manage third-party vendors and partners to ensure compliance, performance, and timely service delivery. Support vendor evaluations, onboarding, and contract negotiations in collaboration with procurement teams. Strategic Planning & Practice Growth Identify and implement service innovations, best practices, and scalable delivery frameworks. Support strategic forecasting, labor modeling, and practice evolution to enhance market competitiveness. Contribute to business planning and capability expansion initiatives in alignment with PMO and Low Voltage standards. Embrace and support Computacenter’s mission and core values.


What you have

7+ years of experience in low voltage project delivery, including leadership or practice management roles. Strong knowledge of BICSI standards, structured cabling, and low voltage infrastructure technologies. Legally eligible to work in the United States 7+ years of experience in low voltage project delivery, including leadership or practice management roles. Strong knowledge of BICSI standards, structured cabling, and low voltage infrastructure technologies. Proven track record of team leadership, project governance, and operational management. Experience collaborating with sales teams and clients in a consultative capacity. Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills. BICSI certifications (e.g., RCDD) or equivalent ICT credentials preferred. PMP or other project management certifications. Experience managing vendor and partner relationships within the ICT ecosystem.
