Position Summary: The Director of Productivity will lead the development, implementation and monitoring of productivity and benchmarking strategies to optimize operational efficiency, clinical performance, and resource utilization across Hartford HealthCare. The Director will oversee the standardization of key functional and ancillary areas through the Operational Productivity tool to enhance financial sustainability and drive collaboration between cross-functional leaders (finance, HR, IT, etc.) to strategically guide co-dependent initiatives to completion. Key Accountabilities: * Align the Future productivity tool (and the associated measurement practices) with the organization’s current and future goals. Responsible for planning, functionality, performance, preparing and executing the new Strata productivity tool * Lead the Productivity Enhancement Program and inform, educate, and assist system leaders in understanding the foundational concepts of productivity. Streamline data standardization process and assist in the creation and delivery of related training/educational materials and operational reports * Oversee the creation & distribution of standardized operational productivity reports to guide data-driven decision making across the organization and to identify opportunities for improvement, ensuring alignment with organizational goals * Collaborate and work as a liaison with the System Director of Expense Management to support and enhance the expense management program by identifying initiatives through tracking of realized benefit, distribute system reports, and identify/implement improvement opportunities with system-wide partners and/or initiatives (Supply Chain, Clinical Care Redesign, etc.) * Collaborate with leaders from each Operational Enhancement workgroup to ensure timely progress toward desired outcomes; assist with obtaining access to data, tools, and other resources * Engage diverse teams and project stakeholders to identify & capitalize on new/innovative opportunities created by the practices & enriched data resulting from the Productivity Enhancement Program * Lead the development and maintenance of productivity benchmarks for the health system to ensure delivery of high-quality patient care while maintaining cost-effective operations through proper productivity program management * Master’s degree in public health, computer science, MIS, business administration, healthcare administration, finance, accounting or related field is required. In lieu of a Master’s degree a Bachelor’s degree and ten plus years of relevant experience will be considered * Five plus years of progressive leadership experience in planning, productivity, operations, and finance * Experience in financial analysis and/or financial business development * Strong leadership & communication skills to convey messages logically & succinctly to ensure understanding & unify stakeholders in achieving goals * Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong and strategic business relationships * Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills with the ability to execute with limited information and ambiguity * Strong financial acumen, proven ability to connect the linkages of the project results to the financial and business benefits * Persuasive, collaborative business acumen with the ability to influence decision making * Executive presentation skills and ability to communicate with all levels * Acute attention to detail and ability to produce polished deliverables * Demonstrated ability to balance numerous time-sensitive requests in a fast-paced working environment * Ability to exercise independent judgment, creativity, and initiative * Knowledge of change management principles and terms * Knowledge of project management principles and terms in the healthcare industry We take great care of careers.
