The Role The Director of Product Management reports to the Vice President of Product Management, Public Safety. The Director excels at building and managing an exceptional team which drives the strategy, development, and growth of our products. This role will drive the vision and roadmap for our industry-leading SaaS public safety solutions, ensuring our solutions meet the evolving needs of state and local government agencies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product management, enterprise-level software with deep expertise in AI-driven technologies and cloud-based solutions to drive innovation and deliver transformative tools for public safety. Key Responsibilities + Define Product Vision and Strategy: Develop and communicate a clear, forward-thinking vision for CentralSquare’s product suite, aligning with company goals and customer needs. + Drive AI and Cloud Innovation: Lead the integration of artificial intelligence and cloud-based technologies into dispatch solutions to enhance functionality, scalability, and user experience. + Own Product Portfolio: Create and manage a comprehensive portfolio of solutions, prioritizing features and enhancements based on market research, customer feedback, and industry trends. + Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with engineering, design, marketing, and sales teams to ensure seamless execution of product development and go-to-market strategies. + Customer Advocacy: Engage with state and local government clients to understand their unique needs, ensuring CAD solutions deliver measurable value and maintain CentralSquare’s reputation for excellence. + Market Analysis: Monitor industry trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging technologies to position CentralSquare’s CAD products as market leaders. + Team Leadership: Build and mentor a high-performing product management team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability. Skills & Requirements Qualifications: + 10+ years of product management experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing enterprise software products. + 8+ years of experience in managing, coaching, and leading senior level and mid-level staff including multi-functional teams + Experience with public sector software, mission critical systems, preferably in public safety or public administration is a strong plus + Proven ability to drive AI technologies, including machine learning, predictive analytics, or natural language processing, and their application in software products. + Strong knowledge of cloud architectures (e.g., AWS, Azure) and experience scaling cloud-based solutions. + Strong knowledge and understanding of both cloud-based and on-premise software development cycles + Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment. + Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization. + Customer Focus: Experience working with state and local government agencies or similar highly regulated industries. + Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
