The Job:  

As a Director of Product Information Management (PIM), you’ll be part of our Corporate Information Technology team working as a Hybrid employee.   We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of PIM to lead and scale our product data operations. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate, consistent, and high-quality product information across all customer touchpoints and business systems. The ideal candidate will establish robust data governance practices, align cross-functional teams, and drive automation and efficiency in product onboarding and enrichment processes.

In addition to operational leadership, this role will focus on building and developing a high-performing team, fostering professional growth, and creating a collaborative culture centered on innovation, ownership, and continuous improvement. By making product data a strategic business asset, the Director of PIM will help accelerate product launches, enable personalization, and improve customer experiences—ultimately fueling business growth and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

Define and lead the enterprise-wide PIM strategy aligned with business objectives.Position product data as a key enabler of digital transformation and scalable growth.Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on product data initiatives and investments.

Team Leadership & Development:

Build, lead, and mentor a high-impact PIM team, including data managers, analysts, and assets specialists.Set clear goals, provide regular feedback, and support professional development plans.Foster a team culture of accountability, innovation, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning.Collaborate with HR and leadership to attract, retain, and grow top talent.

Data Governance & Quality:

Establish standards, policies, and governance frameworks for product data quality, taxonomy, and classification.Drive data consistency, accuracy, and completeness across all systems and channels.Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Operational Excellence:

Streamline product onboarding and enrichment workflows to reduce time-to-market.Lead initiatives to automate data management processes and reduce manual effort.Collaborate with business partners to ensure seamless integration between PIM
and other systems (Bynder DAM and Drupal CMS).

Cross-Functional Alignment:

Work closely with Product, Marketing, Merchandising, and Master Data teams to align on data needs and priorities.Provide strategic oversight and direction to cross-functional data stewards and PIM users.Foster a culture of collaboration and data ownership.

Customer Experience & Personalization:

Support digital initiatives by delivering clean, enriched product data for omnichannel experiences.Enable advanced personalization, filtering, and search capabilities through structured product information.Help drive data-driven marketing and merchandising decisions.

Analytics & Continuous Improvement:

Monitor product data performance using KPIs and analytics tools.Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement in data processes and system capabilities.Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies in data management and digital commerce.

The Person:

Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Library or Information Science, Data Management,
or a related field.8+ years of experience in PIM, MDM, or digital product content management, including 3+ years in a leadership role.Proven experience with PIM platforms (e.g., Salsify, Akeneo, Riversand, or similar).Strong understanding of product data architecture, data governance, and systems integration.Experience working in a multichannel or global product data environment.Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and change management abilities.
