Then the job as Director for Product Development & Scientific Support in our Bulk Antibodies and Assay Solutions (BAAS) will be the right job for you.

BAAS has moved from being part of a small division to become part of the largest division in Agilent; Clinical Diagnostic Division. Our focus has changed from market to target account. Altering our organization, we need to find a new member of BAAS Leadership Team that can drive substantial new growth while ensuring technical support when needed by customers. One meaningful task will be to optimize the resources while creating good team spirit in the team. The position will entail ensuring openness and collaboration towards our R&D and Production teams. Additionally, you will be tasked to improve the relationship and collaboration towards the field sales team to utilize the resources in the best manner.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Manager for approx. 10 people on-site and cross-borderManaging people and activities of Product Development & Scientific Support (PDSS).Leadership of PDSS team incl. motivation, framework and reportingPart of BAAS Leadership TeamUnderstands and meets customer needs through technical support, sustaining activities and the creation of products and services and the provision of effective delivery processes.Bridging required task from Scientific Head of Customer Relations into needed actionsBuild partnerships with other departments in the Division and Agilent to ensure a profitable revenue growth, optimizing customer satisfaction.Scientific and technically sparring with the teamAct as back up for the design responsibilities for all BAAS productsSteering committee member for programs and project going on in the department

QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s Degree or equivalent (biochemistry, biological science or similar) plus directly relevant experience.Minimum of 5 years’ experience formally or informally leading people, projects and/or programs.Strong documented experience in research and development within the IVD industryStructured way of workingDrive and energeticCustomer focusHigh level of oral and written EnglishGood intercultural understandingHigh level communication skillsTeam playerBasic IT skills

This job has a full time weekly schedule.
