Director of Procurement

The Director of Procurement is a critical leadership position and will report to the Chief Procurement Officer based in Southlake, TX. The role will be responsible for Sabre’s third-party contracts, Procurement Operations, and Procurement modernization. Specific duties include: + Lead the Procurement Operations and Procurement Contracts teams. + Build and lead a high-performing team ensuring alignment of individual and team efforts with organizational goals and ensuring accountability. + Leverage technology and data to streamline procurement processes, enhance visibility, and improve decision-making. + Optimize the development and execution of the third-party contract risk management program and framework, including governance, policies, procedures and risk management standards. + Partner with Risk & Security, Legal, and Data Privacy to implement activities related to managing and mitigating third-party contract risk. + Drive Procurement modernization, leveraging technology and data to streamline procurement processes, increase efficiency, enhance visibility, and improve decision-making. + Define and implement continuous process improvements and optimizations that increase internal customer satisfaction, reduce cycle time and deliver efficiency gains while ensuring compliance with policies and mitigating vendor risk. + Collaborates, coordinates, consults and communicates across disciplines and departments to ensure Procurement is viewed as a trusted internal partner. + Able to be onsite 3+ days per week at headquarters in Southlake, TX. + The position responsibilities outlined above are in no way to be construed as all encompassing. Other duties, responsibilities, and qualifications may be required and/or assigned as necessary. **Preferred Experience and Skills:** + Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or related discipline preferred + 10+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain management + 10+ years Leadership/Management experience + Third party contract risk management experience + Strong process and program/project management experience + Robust leadership and collaboration skills to build and maintain trusted relationships with all levels of management and peers + Experience in change management and optimizing procurement processes + Broad-based understanding of core procurement areas of focus (spend management, category management and supplier management) + Ability to influence individuals at all levels, including executive-level leadership + Comfortable with ambiguity and can take decisive action amidst changing business needs and priorities + Excellent oral and written communication skills + Knowledge of ERP and Contract Management/Purchasing Systems.
