Description The Director of Portfolio Solutions is responsible for overseeing Huntington’s + external separately managed account (SMA) program with an approved third-party vendor, + external illiquid outside manager (Alternatives) program with an approved third-party vendor. + external derivatives program + Due Diligence Activities + Procedure 7 – Options Trading + Procedure 17 – Separately Managed Accounts or Illiquid Due Diligence + Comply with both stated procedures: + Assist with implementation and maintenance of programs in client accounts. + Participate in investment reviews, as needed + Assist in the Due Diligence Questionnaire process for existing or new third-party approved vendors. + Work with and oversee relationships with current approved third-party vendors – Integrated Capital Research (ICR) and Great Lakes Alternative Strategies (GLAS). + Participate in Procedure 22 – Non-Diligence of Non Coverage Sub Advisor meetings, as needed + Coordinate all research and implementation of outside SMAs and/or Alternatives Investments with current approved third-party vendors Integrated Capital Research (ICR) and Great Lakes Alternative Strategies (GLAS). + Understand Separately Managed Accounts as a category, and their potential use in client accounts. + Understand Alternative Investments as a category, and their potential use in client accounts. + Work with Chief Investment Office to potentially develop Alternative Investment allocations to accounts. + Understand industry best practices and assist in the refinement of Huntington’s Procedures. + Ensure accounting for Alternative is accurate in all client accounts. + Participate in due diligence/round table events with the Chief investment Office. + Other duties as assigned for client benefit. + Support the Investment Portfolio Managers (PM’s) and/or Advisors as a subject matter expert and implementation of Alternative Investment Strategies, where appropriate, in client accounts. + Participate in existing and prospective client meetings with PM’s or Advisors: + Review specific account issues/intent. + Overall assistance and required paperwork needs for new or existing business opportunities. + Oversee potential changes to approved third-party vendors. + Coordinate additional resources, as needed. + Assist in the RFP, as needed: + Review RFP submissions with Alternative Investments involved. + Participate in finals presentations, as needed. + Represent the SMA’s, Alternatives or other High Net Worth investment solutions with Investment Policy Committee. + Understand Huntington’s allowed use of derivatives (Procedure 7) and implement/coordinate account needs surrounding SMAs or Alternative Investments (Procedure 17) with PM’s and Advisors. Outside Manager Team staffing, assignments, administration and leadership, including a potential Analyst. Required Qualifications:• A minimum of 10-years of investment management and/or alternative investmentsPreferred Qualifications:• Management experience in a portfolio management capacity. Professional designations preferred (CFA, CAIA), but not required.
