**Description:**

We're seeking a forward-thinking **Director of Pool Operations** to take charge of the resort’s full pool and recreation experience, overseeing strategy, service excellence, and team leadership across all aquatic and outdoor guest touchpoints.
As the Director, you’ll lead the resort’s waterpark, poolside food & beverage, and recreation programming with a focus on innovation, safety, operational excellence, and high-touch guest engagement. This is a high-impact position perfect for a results-driven leader passionate about hospitality, wellness, and dynamic team development.
The salary range for this position is $76,000 – $80,000. This is the pay range Grand Hyatt Indian Wells reasonably expects to pay. Final compensation will depend on factors such as experience and education.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Lead overall operations of the resort’s pools, waterpark, cabana program, and recreational activities with a strategic, guest-first mindset
+ Oversee all aspects of poolside food & beverage service, ensuring seamless collaboration between operations and culinary teams
+ Drive programming and guest engagement through curated recreation offerings and seasonal activations
+ Recruit, inspire, and mentor a diverse team of lifeguards, pool attendants, F&B staff, and recreation coordinators
+ Ensure rigorous adherence to safety protocols, operational standards, and brand expectations
+ Analyze guest feedback and business trends to enhance service delivery and operational performance
+ Serve as a key department head, collaborating across departments to elevate the total resort experience
**What You Bring:**
+ Proven experience in leading luxury or high-volume pool, recreation, or F&B operations
+ A track record of building strong, guest-focused teams
+ Strong financial and operational acumen; experience with scheduling, labor management, and programming ROI
+ Certified Pool Operator (CPO) and/or lifeguard experience a plus
+ Excellent communicator and hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
+ A creative and solution-oriented mindset, with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement

**Qualifications:**
+ **Exceptional verbal and written communication skills** , with a polished, professional presence and a warm, guest-centric approach
+ **Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite** (Word, Excel, Outlook), with the ability to create polished reports, schedules, and presentations
+ **Strong administrative and organizational background** , ideally with prior experience in a hospitality or luxury resort environment
+ **Bilingual in Spanish and English highly preferred** , enhancing our ability to connect with and support a diverse guest and team member community
