Position Summary:
Provides the ultimate pickleball experience by providing the highest quality programming and customer service. Organizes and executes various pickleball programs to include adult and junior programs, lessons, leagues, tournaments, special events and clinics.
Essential Duties:
· Enforces all club and corporate policies and procedures.
· Responsible for implementing and maintaining excellent service to achieve member/guest satisfaction.
· Work with General Manager to create membership, public, league, and tournament programming for the facility.
· Promote the facility within the local and regional pickleball community and attract tournaments and event.
· Supervises all Pickleball play and proper charging of fees.
· Initiates, directs and promotes pickleball leagues, tournaments, clinics, special events and programs to attract and maintain members’ pickleball interests.
· Quickly and efficiently responds to member/guest questions, comments, and concerns in a professional, tactful manner.
· Work with instructors to develop lesson and clinic programs for adults and juniors.
· Ensures proper inspection of the courts/facilities daily prior to the start of play and ascertain that all necessary maintenance has been performed and the courts are in a safe working order. Reports any maintenance problems to the appropriate person.
· Strong knowledge of racquet sports merchandise to properly give information to consumers.
· Maintains a close working relationship with the Facility General Manager and non-racquet facility staff.
· Attends facility management meetings.
· Regular and reliable attendance.
· Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
Education/Experience:
· Previous experience as a Program Director preferred.
Physical Demands:
· Frequently stands, walks, uses hands; talks and hears, reaches with hands and arms, climbs, balances; stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls.
· Occasionally sits.
· Regularly lifts up to 10 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds.
Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences:
Ability to read and speak English may be required to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the staff may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the staff may use are in English).
